Debating what to name your new baby girl? If you’re a fan of HBO’s hit series Game of Thrones you know the show’s characters have some unique names that might make an interesting addition to your family. Of course, not all characters are as beloved as others and it might surprise you to learn which of the Game of Thrones baby names has recently become popular.

Cersei Lannister has apparently stolen the hearts of a few expectant couples. According to the Social Security Administration data that was recently released, eleven American girls born in 2017 were given the name Cersei. This was the first year the name appeared in the administration’s tracking data, which records names that are given to at least 5 girls or boys. Cersei is an unusual choice considering the character’s less than redeeming qualities. Although it definitely has a certain royal Westerosi ring to it.

While it might be the first year that Cersei made the list, it’s not the first time a Game of Thrones character has helped name a new baby. Arya, Daenerys, Khaleesi, and even poor Theon have been popular choices since the show arrived on the scene.
