From holistic celebrity chefs to moms who fight for clean air, these 10 amazing women work hard, play hard, and are powerhouses when it comes to the eco-tastic life. Caroline Miros – Founder, PlanetBox

After 10 years as a stay-at-home mom, Caroline Miros was no stranger to the power of a good lunch! And so, eight years ago, after Caroline’s husband started his own product design company, she decided to join him to create and sell lunchboxes of her own design. PlanetBox is a line of stainless steel, customizable lunchboxes that are non-toxic, non-leaching, safe from BPA, phthalates, and lead! Also, using one of Caroline’s cool designs means a lot less stuff gets thrown in the trash. An immediate success, the company has even collaborated with singer/activist Jack Johnson and his non-profit organization.

A mother of two and wife of 20 years, Caroline is proud of the fact her family has dinner at home together at least once a week (a real accomplishment with two teenage girls in the house!). She also savors the time spent hiking the trails behind their house, which happens between working from home, afterschool snacks and chats, karate lessons and screen-free evenings with the entire crew.
