Classes meet daily for three weeks. Specialized morning classes focus on ensemble work through movement, voice, and musical theatre training. Afternoon classes focus on acting technique through monologues and scene study from both contemporary and classical literature. The program culminates in a public showing of their work.

Join us for a Summer at Concord Hill School! It will be full of fun, curiosity, and adventure. Our camps are designed to bring out the wonder and excitement of childhood, while also incorporating important academic and social emotional elements that will help young learners make the most of their summer. With a specific focus on Early Learning at Concord Hill, campers will be supported by experienced and knowledgable faculty who specialize in the early years of development. We are offereing a wide array of sessions fociusing on everything from dinosaurs and paleontology to servicce learning and many fun things in between. Summer@CHS runs from July 11- August 5

Dive into your creative side and explore over 200 years of paintings, pottery, music and more. Campers ages 6-8 will explore Tudor Place’s historic house and garden through an artistic lens pulling from its collections to inspire your own creations. Campers will learn about various forms of art, including metalwork, glass blowing, and ceramics and experiment with similar techniques. Come practice painting, blend watercolors, design stickers and create a musical instrument to take home.

At Glen Echo Park, WE ARE HAPPY CAMPERS! Camps at the Park are the perfect way to encourage budding artists. From visual arts to performing arts, nature and aquatic life programs to Irish dance, there’s something for every child and every interest. Camps are offered by Adventure Theatre MTC, Art Glass Center, Culkin School of Irish Dance, Glen Echo Aquarium, Photoworks, the Puppet Co., Washington Conservatory of Music, Young Creative Spirit, and our independent instructors.

We look forward to welcoming campers back to the Park for a safe and fun summer. Camps run from June 20 – August 26. Most camps are held Monday through Friday,  9am–3pm. Ages 5-17 (Some include age 4). Campers ages 5 and up are required to be vaccinated and wear masks. After Camp is offered to extend the day with creative projects, games and exploration of the Park. For campers Ages 5-12. Monday-Friday, 3-6 PM.

Imagination Stage’s summer camps provide an ideal setting for nurturing creativity, exploring the arts, being in a show, and making new friends and great memories! Imagination Stage offers 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-week summer camps in acting, musical theatre, performance, dance, and filmmaking for ages 3.5-18.

Some of the summer production camps include Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids, Annie Kids, and Matilda Jr. Other class titles include Scene’s & Songs from Disney’s: Descendants the Musical, Musical Theatre Intensive: Hadestown, and Theatre Directing: Blocking & Staging.
Filmmaking camps for rising 5-12 graders include Essentials of Animation, and Advanced Filmmaking Academy.

Our skilled and fun-loving teaching artists and summer counselors are dedicated to Imagination Stage’s mission of empowering all young people to discover their voice and identity through the performing arts. We have three convenient locations in Bethesda, Rockville, and Northwest DC. Imagination Stage provides equitable access to all programming, from added inclusion supports to peer-group access classes in order to provide the most successful experience for each student.

“Little-known summer gem” – the Washington Post.  Now in our 20th summer! Traveling Players trains young actors (grades 3-12) in classical theatre with plays by Shakespeare, Moliere, & Gozzi and based on Greek Mythology.

  • Sleepaway Camps & Conservatories rehearse plays outdoors in small supportive groups of only 13 performers. Campers ages 5-7 will take dance classes in jazz, modern, ballet, hip hop, and tap while also creating arts & crafts projects, reading stories, and engaging in literary arts activities throughout the week. Campers will also learn five dances in each genre and have an in-studio demonstration for family and friends on the final day of camp. Camp hours are 9:00am-3:00pm with the option of aftercare from 3:00-5:00pm.

Campers ages 8-10 will take dance classes in jazz, modern, ballet, hip hop, and tap while also creating arts & crafts projects, reading stories, and engaging in literary arts activities throughout the week. Campers ages 11-13 will grow their skills while taking two dance classes per day in jazz, modern, ballet, hip hop, or tap, and learning a dance in each genre. Campers will show off what they’ve learned in an in-studio demonstration for family and friends on the final day of camp. Camp hours are 9:00am-4:00pm.
