Downtown Seattle – Heart of the Holidays

Usher in the season with the Downtown Seattle Association’s annual tree lighting celebration presented by Alaska Airlines. The seasonal sights and sounds begin on Friday, Nov. 29, with the lighting of the Westlake holiday tree and a dusting of snow, followed by festive fireworks lighting up the downtown sky.

But that’s not the only reason downtown Seattle is the heart of the holidays. Beginning Friday, Nov. 29 come ride the vintage holiday carousel in Westlake Park, where every ticket sold supports DSA’s year-round work managing Westlake Park and Occidental Square. You can also purchase hand-crafted goods at our weekend pop-up Holiday Market curated by Urban Craft Uprising, featuring rotating vendors every week. A food truck will be at Westlake Park every day offering sweet and savory treats. On the other end of downtown, Occidental Square will be home to a brand new sparkly tree as Pioneer Square gets decorative for the holidays.
