Since 1978, LCPC Parent Education has been helping families in the Los Angeles area thrive by integrating time tested advice and the latest research. The program both educates and nurtures parents in a safe atmosphere by providing quality education, resources, support, and community. Our highly regarded teaching staff are all extensively trained in child development, family counseling, and education plus have years of parenting experience! Offering 16 classes, our new program year begins September 14-17, 2021!
LCPC Parent Education offers Parent-and-Child classes for parents of children 6 weeks to 5 years old. Â For children, it is an opportunity to spend one-on-one time with a parent, while exploring a rich environment with other children. For parents, an education hour with discussions on pertinent parenting issues leave parents feeling empowered and encouraged. Experienced teacher assistants facilitate comfort during separation time as well as maintaining a stimulating and safe play environment.
Because parenting doesn’t end when school begins, Parent Education offers Parent Only classes for parents and grandparents of school aged children, K-12th. Parents & grandparents will gain a deeper understanding of the developmental stage of your child/grandchild and how best to guide them through it while staying connected as a family.
