Little Kitchen Academy is the key ingredient for an independent child! We are the first-of-its-kind Montessori-inspired cooking academy for kids ages 3 through teen focused on providing a safe, inspiring, and empowering space for children to identify, develop, and refine their senses. In each class, students learn how to make healthy, delicious meals from scratch to consumption — all while experimenting with math and science concepts, working on their reading skills, and polishing up their table manners.

Sessions of three-hour classes are organized by age group for up to 10 students per session (ages 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, and 13+ years old), and are overseen by three instructors per class. The curriculum focuses on seasonal, locally grown, and organic produce and ingredients, and students enjoy the fruits of their labor for a “scratch to consumption” experience.

Give your child the gift of independence and practical life skills with Little Kitchen Academy! With only 10 spots per session, spaces will fill up fast! Register your child now!

Stratford School provides an unparalleled education where children are inspired to be creative problem-solvers, imaginative innovators and insightful, confident leaders. These 21st-century qualities provide children with the knowledge, confidence, and ingenuity to help them excel in future careers. Stratford’s accelerated curriculum from Preschool through Grade 8 emphasizes STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics) while incorporating music, physical education, foreign language, and social skills development.

By combining a safe and nurturing learning environment, Stratford teachers ensure a stimulating and well-rounded program while cultivating a child’s natural joy of learning. All students are encouraged to participate actively in leadership, community service, and extracurricular activities.

Individual tours are scheduled throughout the year. Students are welcomed to enroll at any time during the school year, as long as there is space available in the desired program and the child is grade-level ready. Or schedule a virtual tour at www.stratfordschools.com/tours and discover a school where the extraordinary happens.

Outside the Box – La Crescenta is a family-owned early childhood enrichment center, classroom, and resource for both new and experienced caregivers. We offer 1 hour “parent-and-me” (could also be a nanny, grandparent, etc) classes starting with babies 8 weeks old up to toddlers & young children 6 years old. The program combines a little bit of everything: music, sign language, Spanish, fine motor/gross motor exercise, and a variety of multi-sensory activities. Classes are unique, always changing, fun for both the adults & children, and very interactive – encouraging socialization, teamwork, problem solving, and parent/child bonding by giving them tools to enhance their development and learn while they play. We offer drop-in classes at the center as well as small private groups in the field, at a residence or park.

We also host birthday parties and special events! We have a beautiful lobby where kids can play inside a giant tree, climb upstairs to the clubhouse, and draw on the chalkboard wall.

We aim to live an educated, healthy, environmentally friendly, goal-driven life, to enhance the lives of our children through ourselves and for the betterment of our community for years to come.

EverWild engages and mentors children and families to develop a meaningful connection with the Earth. We offer a Forest Preschool and Kindergarten, and Nature Immersion Homeschool Enrichment Programs in Santa Clarita Valley, Thousand Oaks, Topanga/Palisades, Pasadena/Glendale, and Culver-West areas. Our programs encompass a Forest School philosophy and utilizes the Coyote Mentoring approach to create an “invisible school”. An emergent curriculum allows children to learn through explorations, play, and discoveries alongside qualified nature-based mentors.

Mentors capture your child’s curiosity, engage them with their natural gifts, and provide layers of opportunities for hands-on learning. Classes are 100% outdoors and rotate to several different nature destinations within their region.  The variety of landscapes will challenge your child, encourage safe risk-taking, and bring them to the edge of their awareness. They will go further into their experiences each class developing a deeper relationship with themselves, others, and the natural world.

As your child continues to spend more time in nature you will discover other areas of growth. All of which are backed by research, including: enhanced social and emotional skills, 21st-century skills, ecological literacy, health and wellbeing, academic outcomes, physical health, an increased desire to care for the planet.
