Gwyneth Paltrow is a mama, actress, entrepreneur, lifestyle expert, media mogul and well known for her “conscious uncoupling” with ex-husband Chris Martin. Paltrow and Martin put the low-key, easy on everyone divorce style on the map with their very public admission that even though they were splitting, they wanted to work toward some sort of happy-ish separation. Well, it seems like their “conscious uncoupling” is more than just a fancy term for divorce.

During a recent visit to the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Paltrow spoke openly about her life post-divorce (err, that is post-conscious uncoupling). Paltrow told host Colbert (about her ex Martin), “He’s really like my brother.” She went on to add, “We’re very familial. It’s nice. It’s great.”

While the whole brother thing may be taking the whole “conscious uncoupling” thing into an uncomfortably comfortable space, at least the pair are doing everything they can for their kiddos. Along with staying close for the sake of their kids, Paltrow and Martin even support each other in their new romantic endeavors. Last fall Paltrow, her then-beau and now-finance Brad Falchuk and Martin even had brunch together.
