A little extra cash can always help during the holiday season—and right now, there are plenty of holiday seasonal jobs. Here’s where you earn put a little extra jingle in your wallet as you jingle all the way.
According to CBS News, retailers are set to hire a record 700,000 workers for the holiday season. Target alone plans to bring on 120,000 seasonal workers, up 20 percent from last year, not surprising when you consider how much extra traffic target will get with Toys“R”Us out of the picture. Other retailers expanding their workforce through the Christmas holiday include Kohl’s, JCPenney, Macy’s and Michael’s. Delivery companies UPS and FedEx are hiring as well.

“This holiday season will be a good time for workers who have had trouble finding employment or those who are discouraged or marginally attached to the labor force, as retail, transport and warehousing jobs will be plentiful,” Andrew Challenger, vice president of Challenger Gray, which prepared a Christmas analysis of federal jobs data.
Besides a budget boost, scoring one of these seasonal positions comes with some added benefits, including higher starting salaries, thousands in sales bonuses and even entry into raffles for gift card rewards. Employee discounts are another great perk to take advantage of as a seasonal worker, too.
