Way back in 1968 a 1:64th scale model toy car was conceived. And the iconic Hot Wheels cars were born! If you were subtracting the years (from 2018 to 1968), you might have noticed something pretty special. Hot Wheels is celebrating their 50th anniversary! And in honor of a half-century’s worth of mini automotive awesomeness, Hot Wheels is launching live experiences, plenty of partnerships and products, products and more products—all year long.

What can you expect from the Hot Wheels anniversary lineup? To start with, your kiddos can catch the Hot Wheels Legends Tour, which is headed to 14 Walmart stores across the country. Along with their tour, Hot Wheels will also partner with Woodward (an action sports and lifestyle camp) for an eight-stop skate and BMX competition.

Oh, but the fun doesn’t stop there. You can also check out the Hot Wheels: Race to Win Exhibit at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis and visit Beto Carrero – Hot Wheels World at Latin America’s largest theme park.

If your kiddo is kind of car crazy, Hot Wheels recently released replicas of five original cars, complete with legacy graphics, Redline wheels, Spectraflame paint, original packaging and a special collectible button. Your little techy will enjoy Hot Wheels Augmoto, an AR (augmented reality) smart device-controlled track. Don’t worry if you’re shopping for the tinier tykes. Hot Wheels City is the perfect pretend play set.

The Hot Wheels fun is just beginning! For a complete list of products, events and partnerships visit HotWheels.com.
