Even supermodels have mama problems too. Miranda Kerr recently got honest about how to handle sibling rivalry with TODAY. She’s a mom of two: Kerr had seven-year-old son Flynn with actor Orlando Bloom and most recently, a newborn boy named Hart with SnapChat creator Evan Spiegel—and she’s learning all about what it’s like to juggle two kids. And, as many of us already know, that’s not an easy task for any working mom.
The supermodel and supermom may seem like she lived a charmed, pampered life. But IRL Kerr is busy working. Along with modeling, the new mama also has an organic skincare product company, Kora Organics.
When Kerr married now-hubby Spiegel, son Flynn was all about his mama giving him a new baby brother or sister. Kerr told TODAY, “When I was finally pregnant and I told him after three months, he was so excited. He specifically said he wanted a baby brother.”
But when reality hit, and Flynn’s baby brother was actually here, the seven-year-old wasn’t entirely thrilled. The model mommy told TODAY, “The other day when he was here with me, he was like, ‘Mum, I wanted to let you know I’m feeling a little frustrated. I feel like we’re not getting enough time together’.” Aww.
Kerr went on to add, “I told him, ‘Oh honey, of course I understand. I want you to know I love you and we’re going to have lots of fun together with your brother and on our own.’ I’m breastfeeding at the moment so the baby needs me every hour and a half. It;s great he expressed his own emotions.”
Hmm. Having to handle breastfeeding and parenting an older child? Maybe some celebs, like Kerr, are kind of like us!
