If you don’t live in the regions affected by Hurricane Sandy, chances are you have watched in horror at the images of destruction and wondered, how can I help? While you may not be able to replace the possessions lost for the many displaced families, there is a way that you can help, no matter where you live.

Our friends at Baby Buggy, a non-profit organization that helps parents in need by providing gently used or new products, is working with several community based organizations (CBOs) to distribute new and gently used essentials to families affected by Hurricane Sandy. Baby Buggy is collecting everything from cribs and strollers to clothing and bottles, all of which are vetted for safety.

You can help the displaced families with one cloth diaper or even wipe at a time. Just think about all the clothes and extra goods pilling up in your closet that could come in good use by the families affected by the storm. The most needed items are:

  • Diapers
  • Wipes
  • Baby food (formula)
  • Warm clothing (coats, boots)

You can mail all gently used items to the Baby Buggy Warehouse at the address below:

If you have a business and would like to donate products to Baby Buggy, make sure to include the full name of your business, address and value of the donations in the package you send, so Baby Buggy can send you a tax letter.
