If it’s not raining in your town, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate National Splash in a Puddle Day! Try one of these fun ideas that you can do inside. Scroll down for some splash-tacular fun.

  1. Put a little water in the bath and let the kids climb in wearing raincoats and boots on. (You’ll want to closely supervise any actual “stomping” to avoid spills.) Put on your own raingear and turn on the shower and climb in with the kiddos for an impromptu indoor rainstorm.
  1. Sing “Rain, Rain, Go Away!”
  1. Or maybe you’re more of a “Singin’ in the Rain” type.
  1. Set up some puddles for the toys: let Barbie, Bob or that Megasauraus do some puddle jumping in a baking tray with an inch of water. Just put a towel down underneath and prop the kiddos on the floor.

How do you make a splash without going outside?
