When it comes to sharing on social media, Jessica Alba wants to keep her parenting fails private. The mama, actress and entrepreneur isn’t exactly hiding her kiddos from the Insta-world. She shares poignant pics and adorably sweet posts of her family. But, in a recent interview with Redbook, Alba explained why she doesn’t dwell on her parenting mistakes — and especially not socially.

Alba admits, during her interview with Redbook, “I don’t have it together at all.” Yep, that’s right. She’s not the perfect parent. She might have wealth, fame and beauty, but that doesn’t mean she’s always got the whole mommy-ing thing down.

Even though she’s more than willing to admit that she makes parenting mistakes (and really, who doesn’t), Alba also says that she doesn’t need to broadcast her fails over social media. But that doesn’t mean the actress has any animosity against parents who do, “I’m fine if people want to air their dirty laundry online, but people know enough about me. I make mistakes all the time…and sometimes when I get together with my friends, we’ll reflect on how we’ve made similar good and bad decisions. It’s like, ‘Yeah, that was humbling.’ Then you move on and have a glass of wine.”

Hmm. We think that Alba has some solid advice for all of those mistake-making mamas out there. And yes we know, that’s pretty much all of us.
