Birthday gifts that come from young kids are some of the sweetest ever. One group of kindergartners surprised their school janitor for his birthday with an adorable present and you’ll want to break out the tissues now.
The school custodian, Mr. James, at Hickerson Elementary Schoo in Tullahoma, Tennessee received a very special surprise this week for his 60th birthday. Mr. James, who is deaf, has worked at the school for 15 years and is clearly a vital role model for the students.
To celebrate his special day, both kindergarten classes in the school came together to sing Happy Birthday to Mr. James. All of the students learn to sign the song and he was clearly very touched by their gesture.
“Mr. James teaches the kids sign language every now and then, teaches them good manners and how to treat other people,” Hickerson Principal Jimmy Anderson told FOX 17 News. Mr. James said that the student’s gift”touched his heart.”
