Folks, the future has officially arrived: not only can you avoid the dreaded grocery run, now you can have it all delivered to your front door by grocery-delivering robot cars. What a time to be alive!

In a partnership with Silicon Valley start-up Nuro, Kroger will now deliver groceries to customers via driverless cars. Shoppers only need to pay a $5.95 flat rate for same-day or next-day delivery and there is no minimum order requirement.

For now, the only customers who are lucky enough to enjoy this amazing amenity are those who live in Scottsdale, Arizona, where Kroger has been testing this unmanned vehicle called the R1. Hopefully if it’s successful, we’ll see it popping up in more cities soon.

“Kroger customers are looking for new, convenient ways to feed their families and purchase the products they need quickly through services like pickup and delivery,” Kroger Chief Digital Officer Yael Cosset said in a statement. “Our autonomous delivery pilot with Nuro over the past few months continues to prove the benefit of the flexible and reliable technology.”
