It was a big year for little people. Cool play spaces opened, new music studios flourished and trendy shops for kids clothes moved into town. Here are our picks for the 20 best things to happen to Los Angeles in 2014 that made it an even better city for raising kids. (Like that’s possible!)

Mason Park

This brand new Valley spot just opened up this summer, and it couldn’t be a more welcome addition to the splash scene in this steamy part of town. Our favorite thing? In addition to being new (which means clean facilities!), it’s part of the Shane’s Inspiration family, which means it’s an inclusive playground that is accessible for kids of all abilities.
