When you sit down to your Thanksgiving meal and give thanks for all your blessings, give a moment to appreciate this amazing and diverse city we live in.  It’s the perfect place to raise kids!  We polled our writers to find out what they’re most grateful for about being parents in LA, then add in your two cents.  Then get out there and enjoy the sunshine, arts, culture, ocean and food that we all love.

Summer Shakespeare in the Park

Every year, for the past 15 years, we attend the summer Kingsmen Shakespeare Company's performances. Blankets, picnic basket, chairs, and lots of clothing layers (even in the summer, valley nights get cold!) follow us to each performance, which are performed in repertory. We watched them grow from a simple stage with basic props to a major production house. Crowds have grown, ticket prices have grown, and our son has grown up with a love for Shakespeare.
