Earth Angels
This new West LA boutique is a great resale spot and family resource center. Earth Angels is dedicated to conscious living in the form of green buying and family classes. The boutique offers a great selection of pre-loved clothing, shoes, toys, books and gear with lots of top brands in the mix. Bring in your own gently used clothing and shoes any afternoon and receive 30% of the value in store credit. Also be sure to check out their classes. They offer kids yoga, “Baila Baila” bilingual music classes and even “Mama Needs a Drink” parenting support classes. Check their website for more details.

Children’s Orchard
This is a sure spot for Manhattan Beach mamas. The store is filled with gently used clothing, toys, books and even baby gear (strollers and the like) for kids 0-12. You can also bring in your own gently used, outgrown clothes on buying days (up to 2 bags) for store credit or cash. Tip: you’ll get more bang for your buck if you go with store credit. Be sure to check their Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on their frequent (and beloved) dollar sales, with hundreds of items on sale for just $1; and the “Fill-a-Bag” events where you can stuff as many items as possible into a shopping bag for $6.

Rosebuds and Rosestuds
This South Pasadena resale and consignment store wins big points for organization. Here you can find new and gently used upscale clothing, toys and gear for babes and kids 0-12. If you’re in search of rain boots during one of those unexpected rainy seasons in our sunny city, this is the place to go. They have a good eye at this Mission Street store, so you’ll be sure to get your hands on some special finds. This is also a great place to pop in if you’re in search for a birthday gift, too. They’re chock full of Melissa and Doug and Neat-Oh Toys. Plus, their used items are in such good condition that anything would make a perfectly wonderful gift.

Grow Kid Grow
This Silver Lake Resale Boutique is filled to the brim with gently used clothing for from newborn to big kid (they’re expanding their sizes every year, and include maternity and some mom-wear, too). The racks are nicely organized by size and it doesn’t take much to uncover some amazing finds for a fraction of their original price. Peruse while your kdis play at the train table. Be sure to check the sale rack out front for the biggest deals and there is always a sample sale rack inside the store the highlights local designers. There are also incredible vintage pieces throughout the store that will make you swoon. One of the greatest perks is friendliness of the folks in the store. If you’re looking for something specific, give them a call and they’ll be happy to take a look and let you know if they have what you’re looking for. You can sell your old clothes, books or toys by appointment to make the deal especially sweet. And if you’re in need of a birthday gift there are plenty of gently used toys, books and new handmade items that you won’t be able to pass up. One stop shopping at its finest.

The Green Bean
This Eagle Rock spot is more than just a boutique. Sure, there are gently used (and adorable) clothing, plus an array of new and used shoes, toys, books, gear and locally handcrafted goods. There is a toy section where the kids can play while you shop.They offer 40% of resale in store credit or 30% in cash for items you bring in, in sizes 18 months to youth size 8. Baby gear is also accepted on consignment. Beyond shopping, The Green Bean offers a number of family classes including story time, Family Song and events throughout the year. Also check on the “Hollow Trees” performance schedule—the store’s owner, Traci Green is a member of this awesome family-centric band. (Check their calendar for more info.) And if you’re looking for something specific, give a call. The folks at Green Bean are always happy to take a peek for you before you drive over.

This Burbank boutique is full of like-new clothing and shoes from top brands. The store is well organized so you can find exactly what you’re looking for (and perhaps a few surprises along the way). Bring in your tots gently used clothing by appointment and receive cash or store credit. Hint: you’ll get 50% return if you take the store credit. While you’re there, be sure to check out their selection of toys, books, furniture and baby gear. There a little bit of everything here.

This little boutique is located in Larchmont Village and is chock full beautiful pieces. Bluebird is stocked with high end, brand name clothes and shoes in addition to furniture, books, toys and baby gear. Stop by anytime with up to one bag of clothing (or furniture, books and gear) where you’ll receive 30% of the retail price in cash or 35% of retail in store credit for your accepted items. And once you’re finished shopping, peruse Larchmont Boulevard for more shopping, good eats and treats.

Urban Kids organizes a massive 4 day kids consignment event, four times a year. What started as a hobby, grew into such such a hit, it just won the 2016 Red Tricycle Totally Awesome Award for Most Sensational Resale Store in Los Angeles. These events draws thousands of families looking for gently-used kids clothing, shoes, toys, baby gear and so much more. Not only can you sell (most who participate make between $200-$300 per sale, in addition to cleaning out their closets), buy (and save 50%-90% off retail), Urban Kids also donates truck loads of gently used children’s items after each event to families that need them the most. It’s a win-win-win situation.

L.A. Kids Consignment
L.A. Kids is the largest of the local consignment sales in LA and has multiple sale locations. You will find and huge selection and here you can buy and sell gently used clothing, toys and gear for newborn babes to your pre-teens. Prices are 50-70% off retail prices. And if you want to make a real investment you can purchase VIP passes online to avoid the crowds and get first pick. Also, volunteers get into the private pre-sales early. LA Kids Consignment hold 6-7 sales per year with three coming up in the Fall in the San Fernando Valley, Pasadena, and Torrance.
