Irvine Railroad Pumpkin Patch will keep you busy all day, and leave the kids begging to return. So all aboard for a great day escape! Click through to see what kind of adventures you’ll have at this destination.

Nature Center

Ducks, peacocks, and turtles are among the live animals you can find throughout the park. But on a warm day, the air conditioned nature center beckons, and inside you’ll find a history of the animals that have called this place home for centuries. There are stuffed examples of all these animals (and examples of their scat – poo, to your kid, who will adore that exhibit), a coloring station, animal skeletons, and other area for exploration and play. It’s a small space, but a cool (and informative) stop in the middle of the day.

Special note: OC Zoo is also at the park, which can delight kiddos for another couple of hours. Also, the 400+ acre park is designed with kids in mind, with plenty of shady nooks for picnics and mini playgrounds appearing just when little legs get tired of walking.
