With so many gyms and fitness classes in LA, it’s surprising that there are actually very few places you can go to exercise along with your kids,.  That’s what makes the new WARRIOR & CO. A Yoga Studio in Woodland Hills so special. There’s a class for every member of your family to enjoy, from babies to grandparents. Read on to find out which class is right for you and your mini-meditators.

Zen For All
As educators, parents and even former camp counselors, WARRIOR & CO. A Yoga Studio owners Morgan Kaczor, Bonnie Abramson Sobel and Karen Sobel have spent their lives working with children and families, so it makes perfect sense that they set out to build a space where people of all ages can experience the myriad of benefits that yoga has to offer.

The new, cozy two-studio facility in Woodland Hills is the product of their personal dream to share yoga with their own parents and children. They hope to invite other families to discover this completely unique space for all.

Classes For Yogis Of All Ages
The studio offers a full slate of classes to meet your needs, no matter what ages your kids are. For moms and tots 4 & under, the Parent and Mini Warrior class is the perfect combination of yoga and play. The 45-minute class, which is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 a.m., is a balance of play and yoga basics that kids are invited to try alongside you, (though they are also free to play with toys provided). They have an adorable posable yoga bear, that can help teach the kids how to move into specific poses. Between short yoga sets, you’ll sing songs, have some parachute time, and of course, pop a few bubbles, making it fun for the kids too, all while you squeeze in a good stretch.

For the bigger kids there are two options: Junior Warrior for kids 5-8 and Tween Warrior for kids 9-14. Both classes offer a fun, upbeat class that introduces kids, not only to the movements and exercise that yoga provides, but also the breathing and meditative aspect to help them develop calming techniques. The best part is, there are adult classes offered at the exact same time as both the Junior and Tween classes, so you can get your own workout in while your kids exercise. There are other adult classes of all levels offered throughout the day as well, including prenatal yoga, if you prefer to go solo while the tykes are in school.

Last, but definitely not least, the entire family, including grandparents, aunts, cousins and just plain good friends can say “namaste” together at the weekly Family Flow class. With a relaxed vibe and basic moves everyone can follow regardless of age or level, this is the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning shaking off any stress and do some bonding to prepare for the week ahead.

First, you can sign up for a unlimited membership for adults at $112 per month, kids 5-15 at $70 per month, or you can get a family membership that covers everyone for $225 a month. (This is a seriously amazing deal!) The second option is to purchase a multi-class pass at $85 for five classes or $160 for ten. Lastly, you can pay by class with a drop-in fee of $20 for adults and $12 for kids ($10 if parents have an unlimited membership). You can try any of their classes during the week for free before you sign up.

You and your mini yogis can bring your own mats or use the ones the studio provides. All of the studio space and equipment is cleaned and sanitized thoroughly after each class. There is also a locker room available with showers and changing areas for both women and men, in case you want to wash off all that hard-earned sweat before you hit the school pick-up line.
