Spring break is right around the corner and it’s the perfect opportunity to keep learning outside a classroom, and together as a family. LA is overflowing with activities where those little minds and bodies can work hard, make new connections and—most importantly—have fun. Whether at a new museum exhibit or a crazy parkour class, here are the coolest ways to get out there and enjoy the week “off” with your babes.
Recycle, Upcycle and Make Art
Get creative and get ready for Earth Day. Recycled and donated art materials that you may have otherwise just tossed at home are provided, and everyone is encouraged to explore and see what they can make. No piece is the same and that is the beauty. The studio offers Messy Toddler Art classes on Friday mornings at 10 a.m. where you can join in with your mini masterpiece makers. Or drop in for Open Studio for all ages where your assemblage artists and you can work together through the process. Open Studio is Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m-6 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday 12-5 p.m., so you can "create" your own mini-camp any day you like. Tuesdays are extra sweet with 2 for 1 admission. CReATE also offers a host of other focused classes like machine sewing for kids 7 & up.
