This weekend’s must-dos are all about appreciating cultures from around the world. Teddy Bear Concert: Meet the String Family
Bring your kiddos and their favorite stuffed friends to this delightful concert that helps them discover all about the orchestra’s strings. There’s a free Milk and Cookies Reception after the concert. Passport Concierge Booth
The Travel & Adventure Show is here and to help the nearly 60% of Americans without a U.S. passport apply for one before application fees increase on April 2, Hilton Hotels & Resorts will host a Passport Concierge booth at the event offering full acceptance.This initiative is an extension of the Hilton Passport Project, designed to encourage more Americans to obtain passports. At the booth, visitors can: Navigate the application process with help from on-site U.S. Department of State officials, get their passport photo taken (for free) and make copies of identification documents. Everybody Bonsai!
Kids are mini-people, and they tend to like mini things…like trees. Bonsai trees. And it’s fun to say – bonsai!  More than 100 beautiful specimens created by bonsai masters will be on display for Bonsai-a-thon, and young gardeners 7 and up can take a class in the morning too (class fee includes one child and one adult to the garden). The class is a hands-on workshop with the pros, and then take home your own miniature tree to grow at home. African American Festival
Join the Aquarium of the Pacific for the annual African American Festival, celebrating the rich diversity of African American and African cultures. HBO and Sesame Workshop present “Sesame Street: F is for Friends,” a free mall tour inspired by the 48th season of Sesame Street. This immersive, limited-engagement tour includes a 15-minute show starring costumed Elmo and Abby Cadabby characters as well as stories and songs about celebrating similarities and differences between friends. Pre-schoolers and their families will learn that while we may be different from one another, we’re alike in so many ways, too! It doesn’t matter if you’re a monster, a fairy or a kid, we can all be friends! These free shows will repeat throughout the day. Families will also enjoy character meet-and-greets, digital activity stations, photo opportunities that include Cookie Monster’s new food truck, and more.
