The weekends just keep getting better (along with the weather) and this one is no exception. The only problem? We want to do it all. Just check out the options: adopt some caterpillars, hunt for eggs or gold, do a little Irish jig, cheer on the runners at the L.A. Marathon, indulge in some delicious candy at Candytopia and take in some Cherry Blossoms by the beach? Quite possibly the #bestweekendever. Scroll through for the details and let us know where you’re headed!

Los Angeles

L.A. Marathon
With over 25,000 runners and 6,000 volunteers, in some ways, the LA Marathon is the biggest block party in Los Angeles. Starting at Dodger Stadium and going all the way to the Santa Monica Pier, it also goes past some of the most famous landmarks in the city. Not up to running all 26.2 miles? There are plenty of ways to join in the fun without a run. Sun. Event details.

Find the Irish at the Farmers Market
Everyone’s Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. Live music, great food, green beer and lots of fun are what’s on tap at the Original Farmers Market for the celebration. A bagpiper strolls the Market in the afternoon and again in the evening and there’s Irish music in the evening. Magee’s Kitchen, the Market’s first eatery, is celebrating their 100th anniversary with famous corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes special all day…and if the kids (or you) aren’t the biggest boiled cabbage fans, there’s plenty of other food options (green cookies, green beer and donuts galore!) to be had. Sat. Event details.

Saturday Art Camp
Saturday morning Art Camp is back and in full effect! Join us in the studio (most) Saturdays for themed adventures in arts and crafting. This class is drop-off only (no late pick-ups please). Sat. Event details.

L.A. Nature Fest
There’s a surprising amount of nature in Los Angeles, and the more you know how to look for it, the more you’ll see. You’ll be blown away by the plants and animals, their incredible survival stories, the best ways to see them, and the people devoted to studying and protecting them. L.A. Nature Fest unfolds in our very own Nature Gardens, a place our visitors can explore, our scientists do real research, and our educators share nature’s coolest stories. You won’t believe what’s out there! Each day will be filled with performances, hands-on activities, and presentations. Sat.-Sun. Event details.

Fun for the whole family. Fri.-Sun. Event details.
