Bubbly, Babies & Beignets
Please join us for a celebration of Moms, babies and more! Stop by for a glass of bubbly and some delicious authentic beignets from Downtown LA’s “New Orlean’s Sweet Treats!” Participate in lively discussions about health, wellness, and our Mobile Mom Squad project. Tickets are $20 with 100% of the proceeds going to fund Pregnancy Health Aide’s Mobile Mom Squad, a program dedicated to providing education, supplies, and support to underprivileged pre and postnatal women. Watch a Polo Match
Lounge on a blanket with a picnic brunch or lunch and watch horses pound up and down the field right before you. (Players often let the kids on the field between matches to meet the horses.) Learn a little bit about polo, watch a match and then hike the park or tour Will Rogers old house (he was a huge horse and polo fan). Matches are free and open to the public all summer. Echo Park Craft Fair
This spring craft fair is filled with all kinds of locally made artisan goodies. Let mom pick out the present she really wants! Beatrice Valenzuela and Rachel Craven founded the Echo Park Craft Fair in 2009. They visualized a space that would showcase and nurture the talented artisans, designers and craftspeople that live in their inspired neighborhood on the eastside of Los Angeles. Originally held in Valenzuela’s backyard, the Echo Park Craft Fair has grown into a popular bi-annual arts and design event, now held at the historic 5,000 square foot Mark Sennett studios in Silverlake, CA. The art of pizza-making — specifically Neapolitan pizza — made international headlines and to celebrate this recognition, LA, Grow!, an annual community event that focuses on healthy eating and urban agriculture, and L.A.
