January 18 is author A.A. Milne’s birthday and in honor of that, it’s been designated Winnie the Pooh Day. We put together this list of Pooh-inspired fun to help you celebrate the famous, honey-loving bear and all his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood, right here in Los Angeles.

Meet a Real “Honey Bear” or Wise Owl

While kinkajous aren't actually bears, they are adorable little critters with the perfectly fitting nickname of “honey bear." Celebrate Winnie the Pooh by meeting some new creatures, big and small. The ‪Wildlife Learning Center is a sanctuary that’s home to all kinds of animals your own little critters can make friends with, including a few wise owls and not-so-tiny piglets.
