Solvang’s Jule Fest

The holiday season is in full swing and there’s plenty to keep the kiddos entertained. Check out a matinee screening of Scrooge, enjoy breakfast with Santa Claus, get classical with The Nutcracker or head out to the Skirball’s Down Home Hanukkah. Plus, there’s toe-tapping fun at the Shushybye Holiday Musical and songstress Melissa Green at the Fairview Library. Need to burn off that Santa-induced frenzy? Get in costume for Santa Monica’s Santa Fun Run or the Jingle Bell Jaunt in Long Beach.

And if a day trip is in order, Solvang’s Jule Fest begins this Friday with entertainment all weekend, from roving carolers, open houses, free concerts and the annual Julefest parade on Saturday morning. It’s a perfect way to combine some shopping, holiday fun and maybe squeeze in a wine tasting for Mom and Dad.
