For some of us Spring Break is drawing to a close, but for some it’s just beginning.  Either way, we have plenty of suggestions for ways to spend extra free time.  And it’s Easter!  There are hunts, brunches and bunnies everywhere, and we’ve pulled out a few favorites below.  Oh, and remember, Monday is April Fools Day, too.  So don’t take any wooden nickels.  Or eggs.  But you may wish to spend part of the weekend coming up with a way to pull the wool over your kids’ eyes.  It’s a parental privilege.



Science Day at the Library
It’s a day of science you can “dig” with dinos, hands-on science activities for all ages, science story time and more! Sat., 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Downtown. Free. Ages 1-6. Event details.

Blessing of the Animals

Big Bunny Spring Fling
Big Bunny’s Spring Fling is back for the annual bunny-palooza with bunny petting, bunny face painting, be-a-bunny craft, Big Bunny photos, and plenty of live entertainment. Fri.- Sun., 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Griffith Park. $12-$17. All ages. Event details.


Bugs Bunny & Indoor Egg Hunt
It’s wabbit season! Celebrate spring with a thoroughly jolly, rabbit-filled family matinee of classic cartoons starring the one, the only… Bugs Bunny. There’s also an egg hunt in the movie theater before the show. Sun., 3:30 pm. Santa Monica. $11. Ages 3+. Event details.

Art & Passover at the Skirball

Kidspace Egg Hunt
There are loads of egg hunts all over town this weekend, but this is our pick for the best for all ages. Your little peeps can race through the Kidspace Gardens in search of hundreds of candy-filled eggs in special hunts for all age groups. Sun., 11:00 am – 2:30 pm. Pasadena. $4 plus museum admission. Worth the Drive

Phantom Toll Booth

Easter on the Farm
Spring is all about baby animals, and where do you find them?  On the farm!
