Folding Paper Family Festival
Head to Little Tokyo and enjoy a day of origami making for the whole family. This free family festival will teach you how to create your own designs by simply folding paper–make an origami boat and add to the longest paper chain ever made (well, ever made at the Japanese American National Museum!) Quidditch Tournament
Calling all sports fans, wizards and muggles alike: The 2012 Western Cup Quidditch Tournament is here! “Muggle Quidditch” is every bit as intense and thrilling as the matches in Harry Potter. Worth the Drive

Grunion Run
Spend a night sitting on Southern California’s sandy shore waiting for the “grunion run.” Grunion are small sardine-size fish that come ashore to lay their eggs on sandy beaches. Watch the silvery fish come up on the beach to spawn! Sat., 8:00 pm. San Pedro. $1-$5. All Ages. Event details.
