Visit this pop-up marketplace and you’ll discover and meet the people who design and make the goods directly. Hear their story, touch/try-on/see the products before you buy, find out about their process, and get inspired by all that you see. Los Angeles premiere of The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane —24th Street Theatre, renowned for presenting sophisticated, emotionally rich and provocative theater that can be enjoyed by both adults and kids, separately or together, presents Dwayne Hartford’s stage adaptation of the novel by Kate DiCamillo. In this powerful and highly stylized story, Edward Tulane is a porcelain rabbit who must learn the meaning of love: what it is to love, what it is to lose that love and how to find the courage to love again. Get ready to get out and enjoy the LA weather with some family and friends! This free admission event of Friday Night Block Party at L.A. LIVE Presented by Absolut includes $5 food and drink menus at participating L.A. LIVE restaurants, shopping at 20+ local pop-up shops and street performers throughout the evening! The annual Sugar & Stilettos Bake Sale Extravaganza has raised over $400,000 for the Westside Food Bank in Los Angeles, which means over 1.6 million meals to those in need. This annual event brings together the city’s top bakeries such as Sweet Lady Jane, Craft Restaurant, Milo & Olive, Susie Cakes, Clementine and Top Tier Treats—as well as donations from Jennifer Meyer Jewelry, XIV Karat Jewelers, The Honest Company, Shutters on the Beach and Dry Bar, to create a family-friendly afternoon culminating in a crowning ceremony of Mr. Sugar & Stilettos. This year they will be hosting an Alice in Wonderland tea party, with characters for photo ops, the movie playing on a big screen, complimentary tea sandwiches, snacks, and more. Sat. Event details.

The Santa Monica Cultural Affairs presents the second annual Indigenous Now, a day of dance, music, spoken word and visual art by indigenous artists based in Los Angeles, Santa Rosa and Santa Fe at Tongva Park. This year the event draws on the theme of Kuuyam, the Tongva word for “guest” and features the work of indigenous artists. Treat mom to a lavish champagne brunch at The Huntington this Mother’s Day. In celebration of Mother’s Day, The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa will welcome mothers and their families for the property’s traditional Mother’s Day Brunch. Each year over 1,600 individuals come together as a family to enjoy free-flowing champagne, a chocolate fountain, and an extravagant brunch to honor moms.
