Maclaren announces a safety recall on 1 million of its strollers made in the past 10 years. The recall comes in response to 12 separate cases reported to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) of children having their fingertips amputated after being caught in the stroller hinge. While it’s still unclear whether the recall will apply to one specific model or all strollers made since 1999, if you currently use a Maclaren, please read more about the recall to avoid serious injury. As a solution, Maclaren is offering hinge covers which you can order now on their website.
Apparently, MacLaren is having some technical difficulties today, as they were unprepared for the massive amount of traffic to the site, but stay tuned for more info about how to contact MacLaren directly.
