the scoop:

Nature provides countless opportunities for discovery and excitement. Join us for the first edition of Adventure Trail!

Children are innate scientists and love to explore the sights, scents, and sounds of the outdoors. That’s why we’re heading to the Santa Monica Mountains where Ranger Jeff will show us how the Chumash people lived and what resources they used. These Native Americans were the first human inhabitants of this area and lived along the Southern California coast for thousands of years. Come discover the Chumash history in our own backyard!

We’ll meet at Will Rogers State Park in front of the Visitor’s Office.
