The food scene in Los Angeles right now is so good it’s scary. So there’s no shortage of places to get your grub on Halloween style this year, and it’s not all sweets. Take your ghouls and ghosts out for vegan hot dogs from Frankenstand and top it off with candy corn flavored ice cream at Salt and Straw. No matter what your frightfully picky family is craving, there’s something for everyone. Trick and treats guaranteed.

Bug Out at Dinner

There's lots to love about this Koreatown restaurant, including the chance to dine on one of northern Mexico's most famous treats: grasshoppers. They're fried crispy, crunchy, salty protein powerhouses. And, once you get past the ick factor, they actually are really tasty, even addictive. Kids will get a kick out of seeing them served table side in a big heaping pile ready to eat by the handful. Don't worry, there's a ton of other stuff on the menu, including a list of kid friendly favorites like shredded chicken roll ups, noodle soups, and Mexican pizzas. Enjoy it all while listening to the live music that starts up every evening of the week.
