the scoop:

Originating with the Sioux nation, the dream catcher traps the bad dreams in the web while letting the good ones filter through and slide down the feathers back to the sleeper. The dream catcher is a basic form of weaving. Kids will use many natural materials starting with grapevine hoops,  adding leather ribbons or cotton ribbons, fake fur and feathers whether real or created from paper.
