All good things must come to an end—even the endearing saga of the Pearson clan. Mandy Moore revealed that she knows how This Is Us ends on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week. Before you break out the tissues over the thought of saying goodbye for good, mama Pearson says it will all be okay.

In just a few short weeks, the Big 3 will be returning for season 3 of the acclaimed NBC series. While fans can only speculate what this new season has in store for the Pearsons, one member of the family has the full scoop. Actress Mandy Moore recently told Jimmy Kimmel that she knows exactly how the show is going to end.

The good news is, fans won’t be disappointed. “I think the ending will be very satisfying for people,” she explained. “I think it’s very true to what the show evokes from all of us. People will feel their feelings.” In other words, no confusing Sopranos-style diner scenes.

While she said there is no set end date, she revealed that the creator and cast have a good idea of the direction and have even shot some of the final scenes of the series already. “There’s no predetermined ending but I think [creator Dan Fogelman] has an idea in his mind of when he sort of sees the story ending and he knows how it ends,” she said, “which makes me feel good as an actor and as a viewer.”

Nobody likes to think about their favorite show going off the air, but it’s also reassuring to know that there is a plan in place for where it’s heading. It makes for a better series overall, not that this show needs any help in that department.
