Well it’s finally happening! The answer to “When is Meghan Markle due?” is really here—honest to goodness this time. Oh, and we don’t mean that the Duchess of Sussex kind of sort of slipped in a vague seasonal due date or have a “later this year” type of answer. Nope—Markle reportedly got pretty specific about how far along she is!

During her first official appearance of the year, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that she is indeed six months along. That means she’ll give birth between the end of April and the beginning of May.

So now that the world knows Markle’s due date window, that else is just about everyone wondering. Of course, we all want to know is Markle having a boy or a girl. Don’t expect to get this tidbit of info any time soon—or at least not any time before her expected late-April, early-May delivery.

According to reports, during Markle’s Birkenhead appearance, nine-year-old Kitty Dudley asked the Duchess whether she’s having a boy or a girl. Like many a new soon-to-be mommy, Markle doesn’t want to give everything away. She reportedly told the little girl that she doesn’t know, and that the royal couple is keeping it as a surprise!
