Wednesday season 2 is officially underway

Netflix’s creative take on the Addams Family has been a runaway success. Wednesday, a coming-of-age tale directed by Tim Burton following the angsty teen, is one of the most-watched series ever to stream on Netflix. In January 2023, the streamer announced the show was getting a second season and has just released a new video in which members of the cast discuss (and confirm) top fan theories.

The video features Jenna Ortega, Emma Meyers (Enid), Joy Sunday (Bianca), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler) discussing potential plotline theories for season 2, like Crackstone’s ring and whether or not someone will inherit its power, what Eugene might have in store, and whether or not Professor Weems met her end in Episode 8. While the actors admit that most of season two is so top secret that even they don’t know for sure what’s coming, they did confirm one theory about the new season that revolves around the Addams family itself.

“We can’t wait to dive headfirst into another season and explore the kooky, spooky world of Nevermore,” said Wednesday Season 1 co-showrunners Miles Millar and Alfred Gough. “We just need to make sure Wednesday hasn’t emptied the pool first.”

Will Christina Ricci reprise her role in Season 2?

In March 2023, when asked whether her character, Marilyn Thornhill, would be returning for a second season, Ricci told Entertainment Tonight, “I don’t think I’m allowed to say… on my end, the door is open. She was so fun to play! It’s always so fun to play a villain.”

Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2 Release Date

While there’s no news on a release date, fans can still learn about the plot theories and maybe rewatch season one to get more ideas before the second season arrives.

In season one, as Wednesday attempted to master her budding psychic powers, the iconic character also aims to “thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago—all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships of the strange and diverse student body,” per Netflix.

Colorado photographer, Mandy Penn wanted to put a smile on everyone’s face during the pandemic. Penn, who is a huge Friends fan, wanted to incorporate her favorite show into one of her photo shoots. She put out a casting call and the rest is pure magic.

The idea first came to her when her friend was pregnant with twin girls. Penn said, “Since I was just starting to do newborns I ran the idea of a Friends themed photo shoot for her girls past her.” Once she got her friend on board Penn ran with the idea, searching for props and a couch. When all she could find was a $200 couch she called up her good friend who offered to make the couch for her from scratch. Next, she needed to find the props, from a foosball table to a lobster to a turkey hat. She even included a smelly cat. Penn didn’t leave out one detail.

Penn waited until her friend delivered her twins and scheduled the shoot for when the babies were 11 days old. Penn put out a model call for three boys and one girl between the ages of 5 to 14 days old. Soon, she had the gang assembled.

Each device also comes with a set of possible limbs to help them stand up on their own and a full set of hair for added play value.

GigaPets Pixie

This is the most advanced GigaPets ever with 8 different evolutions to experience. In this game magic and the choices you make help determine your outcome. Additionally, each Pixie also includes a set of rubber wings and antenna for a more tactile experience.

There are so many themes to choose from when planning a cake smash for your baby. Connecticut photographer, Ute-Christin Cowan, was looking for the perfect idea when planning her 10th anniversary shoot. When Cowan’s assistant, Emma, suggested their favorite show, Schitt’s Creek, they set out to find baby doppelgangers of the famous cast members.

Schitt's Creek Cake Smash

Cowan knew she wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of her photography business in style. She said, “What better way to celebrate than with another fun celebrity cake smash?” In the past, her most popular themes included, Ellen, Live with Kelly & Ryan, Carpool Karaoke, The Kelly Clarkson Show and Watch What Happens Live

She put out a casting call among her clients searching for the biggest Schitt’s Creek fans. She looked for kids that would best resemble Dan Levy, Annie Murphy, Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara and it looks like she hit the jackpot.

This was Cowan’s most involved cake smash yet with two backdrops, many props and even a wig for baby Moira.

Cowan reports that the kids were a riot. “Moira ( Harper, 13 months) was the most energetic; she was smiling at everyone and just had the best time. Johnny (Liam, 12 months) was not fazed by anything. He was the calmest and just observing the chaos. Alexis (Evvi, 13 months) was a very dramatic little one. She had to take a few emotional breaks throughout the shoot. David (Hudson, 10 months) was just his handsome self. He loved eating cupcakes, I think he had about five in total.”

Cowan and her assitant already have tickets for the Schitt’s Creek farewell tour coming to Connecticut in June. Cowan said, “With this homage, we wanted to thank them for all the laughter and the warm fuzzy feelings in the last 5 years!”

Have you ever dreamed of attending Hogwarts? Here’s your chance, well, sort of. One university is offering Harry Potter-themed classes and it’s as close as you can get to the History of Magic with Professor Binns.

This fall students at the University of Lynchburg in Virginia have the option to enroll in a course titled “Harry Potter and the Good Life.” According to Mental Floss, the class will have students read the Harry Potter collection alongside the works of philosophers “to create connections between past and present.”

Amy Merrill Willis, University of Lynchburg coordinator of integrated seminars, explained to WSL 10 News that the class is “going to be introducing philosophical concepts from Plato, Socrates and Aristotle and asking students to think about the Harry Potter series in depth.”

This new curriculum is part of the university’s effort to streamline and modernize some of its course offerings. While it might not involve casting spells, it will certainly be an illuminating look at the world of wizardry.
