The Bunny knows that toddlers need different goodies in their basket Easter morning. Elementary and tween-age fillers aren’t gonna do it (and probably wouldn’t interest them, anyway). Even if you plan to include a little candy (after making sure it’s toddler-safe, of course), we want to make sure they have lots of fun to unpack after the egg hunt. Whether you’re all about the big mega-baskets for the holiday, or stick to a few sweet gifts, these Easter basket ideas for toddlers are definitely going to deliver.
We rounded up all the bunnies, stuffies, crafts, and toys that are pretty much guaranteed to get them giddier than a Cadbury Creme Egg ever could. Not that we’re not into Cadbury Creme Eggs, but you know what we mean. They’re little kid-appropriate, a ton of fun, and they’re also going to last beyond Easter morning. Pretty “sweet” deal, huh? Take a look at our Easter basket ideas for toddlers below and get ready to take some ultra-adorable pics, too!
Wooden Bowling Bunny with Carrots
This heirloom (hare-loom?) quality wooden bowling bunny from Jack Rabbit Creations is so cute and engaging. Set up the carrot pins, pull back your rabbit race car, and let it go!
Your little one will develop empathy, learn to care for nature, and develop fine motor skills with this LEGO DUPLO build-and-rebuild toy. They'll learn how honey is made, water the flowers, and serve the included characters a well-deserved cup of tea (with honey, naturally).
First of all, it's imperative that we tell you that a group of bunnies is called a fluffle. Now that you know that, you'll appreciate the Duckie's Fluffle Handmade Chalk even more. Available in a set of orange/yellow/green or blue/pink/purple.
If they're more Team Bunny than Team Bee, this Rabbit Hutch Set from Schleich is perfect. Two baby rabbits are getting acclimated to their new home, and your little one can help!
These adorable little houses in pastel yellow and purple make the perfect Easter favors and basket stuffers, especially since they're filled with the yummiest-smelling non toxic modeling dough. Choose from scents like Carrot Cake, Gummy Worm, and Glazed Donut!
Every holiday could use a little magic, and when all you have to do is twist and turn this Rainbow Twirler, it definitely feels like you have your own magic wand.
No smocks, no cups, no brushes, no water. All your kiddos have to do is uncap and go for it—it dries fast! This set even includes Easter craft ideas to make the most of their new paints.
These grabber action dinos (in their own pre filled eggs, of course) aren't just for playing; they can clip onto backpacks, lunch pails, jacket zippers, and more.
Did Jellies ever really go out of style? Even if they did, they're back, and this adorable tote comes in multiple colors for all their most important things.
This butterfly garden includes (non-invasive) wildflower seeds, a paper pulp butterfly, wooden marker, and colored pencils. Toddlers can color the pulp butterfly in and mark their garden with it, too—it's backyard compostable!
Use the barrel drum packaging as your dunk tank to fill with water and reveal the colors of the two included Hot Wheels. Then, dunk them in warm or icy-cold water to change their colors again!
Crocodile Creek Playground Balls are famous for their beautiful prints that take the classic recess toy to a whole new level, like this darling butterfly print!
These are some of the coolest temporary tattoos around! Tattly's artist-designed tattoos are printed with vegetable-based ink, lasting (on average) 2-4 days!
If there's anything Peter Rabbit knows, it's carrots, so we think he's thrilled to get to cuddle up in his carrot pouch once playtime is over—they're two separate pieces!
Tap to change colors and make things even more fun by filling your Sensory Play Jar with Glo Pals' new magical Fun Fillers! Available in multiple colors, it's all locked up with a spill-proof lid and just requires 3 AAA batteries (not included).
It's never too early to start protecting their delicate eyes, and we're really digging these retro-inspired Euro Round frames (though they have a ton of different color and design options, too!).
Henry the Bunny isn't just another pretty face. Not only is he heirloom-quality and absolutely gorgeous, each doll from Cuddle + Kind provides 10 meals to kids in North America and around the world. Henry really can do everything! Available in 2 sizes.

We know there will be some eye-rolls over this idea for Easter Bunny fun, but how cute would a pastel-themed Easter tree be? It’s also a fun place to have the furry guy drop Easter baskets filled with goodies. Go for an all-white tree like this one, and go wild with Easter decorations. This is also a perfect place to leave a plate of carrots the night before!
The Easter Bunny can drop a winding trail of jelly beans to the kitchen—with this delicious bunny fairy bread serving as the treat at the end of the trail. Skip over to Hello Wonderful to find out how to set up this easy idea for Easter Bunny fun. Pair it with pastel-colored milk made with a few drops of food coloring in your little one's morning glass of milk for a festive breakfast. Note: if you have animal friends who'd gobble up a jelly bean trail, the Easter Bunny can leave a trail of inedible white cotton balls through your house instead.
The clever Easter Bunny doesn't leave baskets out in the open: he hides them at the end of a tricky scavenger hunt. Happiness is Homemade put together a free printable packed full of treasure hunt clues, with each one leading to the next. You'll be able to drink your morning coffee while your kids decipher the clues.
We love this extra-sweet tradition for Easter bunny fun! Simply gather a handful of jelly beans and, with your little one, plant them outside. While your bunnies sleep, you can swap out the beans for lollipops. Voila! Your kids will wake up to a magical lollipop garden on Easter morning. If you're worried about your dog gobbling up the jelly beans outside, or if it's too chilly for an outdoor planting session, you can bring the magic jelly bean fun inside with this easy lollipop garden craft.
What will the Easter Bunny be sure to leave as he hops through your house? Paw prints! You can create a bunny trail that leads through your house with a template and white flour. It's an affordable way to sprinkle a little egg-stra magic on Easter morning. Find all the DIY tips here. If your bunny's in a hurry, simply pick up a pack of oversized pink-and-white paw print decals and spread them out on the floor. Get them here.

If you’re considering ditching the over-the-top birthday parties and taking it back to when all you needed was a blindfold and some balloons, we dug up nine birthday party games to help bring back the simple days when you partied with your pals. Easy for everyone to play and always a blast, these games are classic for a reason. All that’s left is to supply the birthday snacks!
A dressed-up version of Hot Potato, kids toss the mega-wrapped “gift” from hand to hand—when the music stops, a layer gets unwrapped. Choose to put a surprise in every layer or wait until the end!
2. Clothespin Drop
Remember when people actually used clothespins to hang up clothes? We do too. These days, all that hand-eye coordination you’ve been working on will come in handy during a round or two of Clothespin Drop. Kiddos stand above the jar, touch the clothespin to their nose and drop away. It’s up to you how many chances each player will get!
3. Balloon Bust
Doesn’t take much to get the ball rolling on this classic birthday party game. Add a little surprise to each balloon for a bonus, then pass them out. Kids can use any means necessary except their hands.
4. Bucket Toss
You can’t go wrong with carnival games and the bucket toss is an all-time favorite. Line up the prize-filled buckets in a row. Each kid who power-slings a ball into a bucket is the proud owner of the goodie waiting to be plucked up. Opt for three turns each, otherwise, there could be a lot of standing (or wiggling) happening!
5. What’s the Time, Mr. Wolf
If this classic birthday party game doesn’t ring any bells for you, parents, think Red Light, Green Light with a lot more shrieking and mad dashing. A total blast, even for young kids, this is a must-try at your next kiddie bash. Want to know how to play? We love the simple instructions offered up by Childhood 101.
6. Bobbing for Apples
It’s an original—and still hilarious. Cold water, slippery fruit, and no hands allowed. Bring on the giggle-fest!
7. Blind Man’s Bluff
Before they start in on the piñata swinging in the trees, use that blindfold for more fun. Playing this version of tag is easy but rules vary, so opt to either have everyone play each round and keep going or have the “tagged” person sit out until everyone is out. It’s up to you!
8. Peanut Hunt
It’s like an egg hunt without the mass amounts of sugar. Spread out enough peanuts so each kid will be able to fill a cup. Got kiddos dealing with allergies? Swap out the nuts for tootsie rolls, instead.
9. Button, Button: Who’s Got the Button?
Getting hotter, hotter, boiling, hot! It’s an old-fashioned guessing game of the simplest design, which makes it perfect for parties. The seeker gets hints from those sitting around as to the top-secret location of the button.
A Moana-themed luau or an ice cream sundae social sounds about right
Adventurous spirits and long, sun-soaked days make summer the best time to throw an awesome birthday party. You can take it easy and go with something simple or do it up with a theme to fit your kiddo’s taste. Not sure where to start? Be inspired by the below summer birthday party ideas guaranteed to be a huge hit.
Mermaid parties are always popular and in the summer, you can add water games or pool games (for older kids who can swim well) for extra fun. It’s also fun to decorate in an ocean theme and if you can swing it, a visit from Ariel will be unforgettable.
A great party doesn’t have to be fussy or elaborate! Get your kids playing and laughing with a field day party—we’ve got a roundup of our favorite classic yard games to get you started.
There's nothing more classic, or in demand, than a water play party. From cup races to paddle pools, there's no end to the refreshing fun! Check out our list of ultimate water games for ideas.
It really wouldn’t be summer without a trip to the movies to watch a blockbuster. Bring the big screen to your backyard with a film fanatic’s bash fit for an award. Toss a few blankets and cozy pillows around the lawn, then put together a popcorn bar and project your favorite family-friendly flick on the side of your house or on a sheet while you relax under the stars.
There’s something magical about those when the sun is still shining long past most kids’ bedtime. Sprinkle your party with a little bit of that magic and invite the faeries and forest creatures to create an unforgettable summer birthday party. Pass out fairy wings and flower crowns to party guests, paint faces, and make nature-themed crafts.
With its tropical, floral setting, a Moana party is a gorgeous one, especially if you use some of these fun ideas from Catch My Party founder Jillian Tobher Leslie. Her Moana party recommendations include a layered hibiscus flower cake, frosted flower cookies, and adorable crab-shaped croissants. If you're looking for activities, check out this fun (and free!) printables from Virtually Yours.

Camp Out Adventure
iStock
Kids who love to explore will have a blast at a camping-themed adventure party. Set up tents to give party-goers a shady spot to enjoy their s'mores. Pass out magnifying glasses as take-home favors, and create plenty of engaging entertainment with a nature scavenger hunt.
Nothing says summer to sports fans like a day at the ballpark. Serve up hot dogs, Cracker Jacks, and baseball cupcakes. Have gloves and balls handy for kids to toss and don’t forget to have all the party guests sign a baseball as a special token for your baseball-loving birthday kid to cherish.
It really wouldn't be summer without a trip to the beach. Set up a sandbox and let the kids dig for buried treasure. Play hot potato with a beach ball. Serve up refreshing beachy treats, like popsicles and watermelon. Give the guests sand buckets and shovels, or this adorable sandcastle kit from Mama Papa Bubba, as take-home favors.
Cast your line and reel in some excitement with this summer birthday party idea. You don’t have to have access to a lake to catch fish, instead set up a kiddie pool and play go-fish with DIY fishing poles with magnets. Don't forget to serve kid classics, like worms in dirt!
Ice cream and summer go together like… well, ice cream and summer. This match made in birthday party heaven will not only give guests a sweet treat, but it will also keep them cool in the heat. Set up an ice cream bar like the ones featured here and they’ll have a blast coming up with their own concoctions.
Glow in the Dark Birthday Party
iStock
Take advantage of those warm summer nights with a party after dark. Set up your party space with black lights and pass out glowing accessories, like bracelets and glasses. Set up glow-in-the-dark games, like hopscotch, and let your guests get creative with glow chalk, like this DIY recipe from Growing A Jeweled Rose. Check out these dark play ideas for more glowing activities.
Music & Karaoke Party
Jolie Loeb
Summer is packed with music festivals, so why not turn your party into a birthday-palooza with a backyard music fest? Instead of hiring a band, let your little crooners take the spotlight with a karaoke party. Pass out party invites that look VIP concert passes. Set up a stage with a sparkly backdrop and mic stands and get ready to jam while the kids rock the day away. While the guests wait their turn, they can deck themselves out like rock stars with wigs and costumes
Kite-Flying Party
iStock
Send your summer birthday party soaring to new heights. Serve up kite-shaped cakes and cookies. Give each child a kite (this counts as your party favor!), and if the wind is in your favor, your guests can spend the rest of the day flying kites in the summer sun.
Your little bookworms will have a blast throwing a summer reading party, especially when you pack it with fun activities like book bingo, trivia games, and a book swap. Click here to read up on how it’s done, courtesy of Nerdy Book Club.
Floral themes scream summer, and what better way to celebrate your kid than with a custom-designed flower party? Alice's Table is a professional service that brings everything you'll need (flowers, clippers, water, and more) to create a flower crown right to your home. They'll even provide a party page and invites if needed! Available in 31 states.

We’re hopping down the bunny trail and straight to boys Easter outfits
Easter dresses are undeniably darling, but for all the boy moms out there, truth be told, it can be easier to find the golden egg than to find appropriate duds for your dapper little dudes. Of course, we all know that there’s not really any such thing as boys clothes and girls clothes. But if your kiddo isn’t a dress-wearer, it really can be tricky to find Easter-ready looks. Dresses do take center stage this time of year, and while we absolutely love them, we want to make sure the No Dresses Crew gets to look and feel just as great. There’s really no shortage of boys Easter outfits if you know where to look. Lucky for you, you’re looking here, and we’ve got you covered!
Whether you and your family is dressing to the nines on Easter Sunday or keeping it casual for the egg hunt and brunch, there’s something for every kiddo in our list. Some of our favorite retailers are rocking this whole boys Easter outfit thing this year, so we put them all right here in one place for easy shopping! It’s never too early to get hoppin’ when it comes to holiday outfit hunting. So put down those jelly beans (just for a minute, we promise) and check out our (non-dress) Easter outfit picks!

Plus, with many families doing spring pictures or photos with the Easter Bunny, the time is now to get those spring duds ready to go.

We’ve made sure to consider every kid’s personality, personal style, and comfort preference, so you’re sure to find the perfect look for your little one.
