The highly-anticipated children’s show reboot debuts Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. ET. Even though the first episode is still months away, the preview clip will give your kiddo a sneak peek into the series.

Along with new host, Josh (played by Joshua Dela Cruz), Blue’s Clues & You! will feature new CG animation for Blue and Magenta, an updated Handy Dandy Notebook (with smartphone technology), a new Handy Dandy Guitar and two brand-new characters—Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper’s twins Sage and Ginger.

So what do fans of the show think of the sneak peek and the inclusion of Steve and Joe? Adult Blues-enthusiasts weighed in with one Twitter user commenting, “I can’t believe it! You actually did it! You got Steve and Joe to come back one last time! I’m so happy! I can tell that this reboot is gonna be amazing!”

Another commenter tweeted, “Steve and Joe have made many childhoods in the original Blue’s Clues series and I know for a fact Josh will do the same for the newer generation of young children in this nostalgic revival.”

Am I the only mother who dreams of being the glamorous image of the successful single mom who manages to get her child up, dressed and prepped for school with ease, while sporting her freshly highlighted blow-out and 4-inch stilettos after having already gone for her 6 a.m. Central Park run and sipped her green juice?

Or am I?

The reality looks more like trying to sit down and meditate for five minutes, only to be (cutely) interrupted by, “Mommy, I don’t want to go to school today. Some girls are being mean to me.” Or, walking into the kitchen wanting to make a healthy breakfast before I send my daughter off to a day of education, only to be disgusted by the dishes in the sink. And the most consistently, walking out the door in comfy clothes.

Sweats it is. Again.

The 6 a.m. Central Park run has yet to speed its way into my morning routine, however, running (no pun intended) a business has created the foundational example for my personal growth, along with my daughter’s. Here’s what happened to me about nine years ago…

My husband and I had just split and after all things were said and done, I was left with nothing. So there I was alone with my daughter and yet ambitious like never before.

After the divorce I was forced to move back home to live with my mother. I had about $6,000 dollars in savings and my mind was quick to conceive ideas for potential business ventures. I figured I needed to invest my money wisely, as this was my only backbone.

One day the idea sparked to buy an ice cream truck and be that pregnant mom selling sweet treats around town. I invested $4,000 of my savings into that business and bought a beautiful magenta and fuchsia ice cream truck. The business did well enough for me to save up money to make the move to New York City.

My beginnings were humble indeed; my primary food income source for the household was Electronic Benefits Transfer, also known as EBT, which is a much preferred euphemism to what are known as food stamps. 

As my daughter was blossoming into her toddler years, she began self-proclaiming veganism and her desire for fresh fruits and vegetables. I began scouring the city seeking the freshest produce I could find. When finding these produce sources online and wanting to place orders, I would be halted in my attempts due to the online space not accepting EBT as a form of online payments.

This struck the need for firstly, opening the conversation around why food stamps are not accepted online and how we can get them accepted so that our products can be affordable for all. And secondly, following my rigorous research efforts, I found that there was a need for fresh, local produce that could be easily delivered to one’s doorstep.

And thus, Farmbox Direct was born!

Rooted in Manhattan, we started small by shipping locally to New York City and Brooklyn. And flipping the pages forward now to five years later, we ship all across the country. I have been recognized by the White House under the Obama administration and when Sam Kass joined First Lady Michelle Obama as the Executive Director for the Let’s Move! Campaign, he and I collaborated to eradicate food deserts throughout the United States. Sam has since joined Farmbox Direct’s Advisory Board. With this company, I hope to give as many people as possible the right to eat healthfully.

My passion for people’s health has poured into my daughter Harlow’s set of creative outlets. Her love for yummy, cooking is blossoming into a business of her own. Harlow’s Harvest is my daughter’s and my company where we offer monthly cooking kits for kids.

The road of entrepreneurship is a journey of highs and lows, but the deep satisfaction in creating your own business is getting to write the end of your own book. You don’t always get to choose the chapters, however, through reverse engineering you can envision your end goal and begin to fill in the steps from there.

The entrepreneur spirit resides within us all, however it is up to us to act on the ideas and bring them into existence. It requires a leap of faith and the dose of courage to stamp your own destiny.

And yes, you can do it in sweats.

Seattle Chocolates Experience Chocolate Tour -Tukwila

For 25 years, Seattle Chocolates has been making, packaging and shipping more than a million pounds of decadent truffles, chocolate bars and seasonal and special occasion products out of its 60,000-square-foot Tukwila warehouse. And now, for the first time in their 25-year history, they've opened their doors to the public with their Experience Chocolate tour. It took nine months of construction, a team of chocolate-obsessed employees and one skillful architect to carefully design and curate the tour's vision along with the construction of the magenta mezzanine walkway that guides visitors through the factory, giving each a true bird’s-eye view of the candy making process.

Each Experience Chocolate tour begins in the classroom where visitors will start their sweet journey with a cup of melted chocolate along with a video on how cocoa is grown and processed (from farm to working plant) as well as the history of chocolate and how the manufacturing process works. From there, a tour guide will lead you into the factory and along a nine-and-a-half-foot high raised walkway. At your first stop, you will learn about truffles as you sample delicious Frangos (psst... Seattle Chocolates has been making them at their Tukwila factory for 14 years) as well as watch a video on the truffle making process and get a live view on how a truffle flavor is carefully crafted, poured, molded, shaken and then run through a chocolate waterfall before it’s finally cooled and packaged. As you move along the tour, you will learn about the tempering process, how Seattle Chocolates makes their chocolate bars so delicious and the packaging process (which is all done by hand), all while immersing yourself in the busy, choclaty bustle of a working factory. At the end of the tour, everyone will get to experience the Tasting Room where you will explore different chocolate varieties and flavor combinations based on what is being made fresh that day. You will also get the opportunity to suggest new flavor ideas that may become reality for the next Seattle Chocolates collection. It's every Willy Wonka's dream come true!

Don't Miss: Creating your own gift box in the gift shop. Mix your choice of more than 20 different truffle flavors, or try a jcoco chocolate flight exploring different cacao percentages of dark chocolate and origins of chocolate. If you were a fan of purchasing chocolate "rejects" at the factory's former store, you'll be happy to know that you can still purchase them on the second Saturday of the month (while supplies last).

We Suggest: Leaving your personal belongings behind. Glass is not allowed inside the factory which means no cameras or cell phones will be permitted during the factory portion of the tour. Guests who choose to bring items along, will be given a locker to stow them.

Cost: Admission is $10/person. Each tour can accommodate up to 15 people.

Details: Tours last approximately one hour and there is a fair amount of walking involved. Stairs up to the viewing platform and walkway may pose a difficulty to persons with mobility restrictions. Because of the height of the platform and format of the tour, children under the age of 6 are not permitted. The factory typically operates Mon.-Fri. from 6 a.m.-3 p.m., however this may vary during holiday seasons. Meridian (Gold)

Mika Tajima's Meridian (Gold) functions as both a lesson in commodities trading and contemporary art. (It's also really cool looking.)  Located on the waterfront of Queens' Hunter's Point South Park, the piece is "an illuminated plume of water vapor whose color shifts between magenta and pale cyan. The color of the vapor corresponds in real-time to the global sentiment for gold, reflected in the price fluctuation of the commodity."

While it looks somewhat intimidating, the illuminated mist is surrounded by a spa-inspired seating zone that invites visitors to relax — and, if they so choose — "reflect on the fleeting materiality of contemporary life." The project was selected by participants in Public Process, an intensive program for high school students at the nearby Sculpture Center that uses New York City's rich public art landscape to explore the history and impact of public art and its community influence.
