Should we rename ALDI to FALLDI? The beloved retailer just announced a bevy of new fall products to search for in September. We’re particularly stoked for the pumpkin cheesecake drizzled caramel corn!

The first offerings hit shelves on September 8 and as always, they’re reasonably priced. You can snag Benton’s Pumpkin Spice Sandwich Cremes for $1.99 or the aforementioned caramel corn for $2.99. If you want to mix up your fall flavors, grab Clancy’s new Caramel Apple Pretzels for $1.99. Plus you can find fall spirit in the beverage aisle with Nature’s Nectar Sparkling Cider, $3.99 for a four pack.

Staying in the land of drinks a little longer, on September 10 you can find two more delicious products. Barissimo Pumpkin or Maple Ground Coffee launches at $3.79 per package. And if you need something a little stronger, State of Brewing will have a pumpkin cider (!) available for $7.99.

ALDI will also trickle out fall-inspired candles throughout the month, including a three wick candle from Huntington Home with scents of pumpkin cider, honey glazed pear and pumpkin ginger snap. Or if you want your candle to actually resemble a pumpkin, Huntington Home has glass and ceramic candles available later in September. Grab your PSL and head to your nearest ALDI!

We have a lot of new faces around here. So I wanted to do a #fridayintroduction but on a Monday 😹 for the 600+ friends we have gained. By being here you have exclaimed to the world not only your love for paper and correspondence but you have also made a comittment to be a part of social change. #powertothepeople ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ First of all, I want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love that you have showed. The orders have been flowing in for the last couple weeks. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. THANK YOU! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Second, I want to be completely honest. The last two weeks have been a struggle. (I know you see my smiling face above so it can be confusing. One thing I pride myself on is being open and honest. This photo was taken about prior to the senseless murders.) I am trying to be as "social" on here as possible. However, I also need to protect my mind. So my responses have been slow. Please do not feel like I do not love and appreciate every single person here. I do love you all, I am just not 100% my normal self. So thank you for sharing your purchases! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Third, although the last couple weeks have been heavy, I am encouraged by the unity. I am encouraged by the change that we have already seen. I see those of you who have comitted to facing systemic racism head on. I see those of you who are comitted to uplifting and amplifying black voices. I see parents like myself who are comitted to making sure our babies are safe. I see you. Right now, we need to keep pushing forward. Change is on the horizon and I believe with all my heart that we need to be voting now, more than ever. We also need to supporting our black communities. This Juneteenth we will be launching some new products and will be donating 30% of our sales to @thelovelandfoundation ! As someone who has benefited from therapy, I resonate with their mission and the need to heal our community from the within. I hope you will join me on Friday! #blacklivesmatter #mentalhealth #supportblackbusiness #amplifyblackvoices

Hello, LEGOs! You’ll happily greet tons and tons of bricks — half a million, to be exact — if you go to Morton Arboretum before November 1. It’s all part of a new exhibit, Nature Connects: Art With LEGO Bricks by Sean Kenney. The world’s first LEGO certified professional has created over a dozen sculptures in wild colors and all shapes and sizes. Read on for the brick-tacular scoop.

The Sculptures
You’ll find them peppering the east side of the Arboretum grounds. All are inspired by nature and the fantastic creatures that call the outdoors home. Highlights include a nearly seven-foot-wide regal peacock showing off its brilliant green and blue plumage, a monarch butterfly perched on a pink milkweed plant, a hummingbird sipping nectar from a colorful trumpet flower, a nearly life-sized family of deer, and more.

There’s plenty to see but the fun is also interactive. A mosaic face cut-out invites kids to play the part of ants crawling beneath the ground. But the biggest thrill will be an ongoing event, LEGO bricks at Thursday Family Nights, held every Thursday through August 27 from 5-8 p.m. You’ll have a blast with live music, kid-friendly food and entertainment after hours in the Children’s Garden. Kids can head to the free play area where a huge selection of LEGO bricks will be available for creative building fun.

The Artist
Sean Kenney spent so much time playing with LEGO toys growing up that he decided he might as well make a career of it. For more than 30 years, the artist and “professional kid” has been turning ordinary LEGO bricks into sculptures for large-scale exhibits, major corporations and venues around the globe. Named the world’s first LEGO Certified Professional in 2005, Kenney is the only independent artist in the world that has produced steel reinforced, fully glued, outdoor-grade LEGO installations.

While You’re There …
Be sure to visit the Children’s Garden, where kids walk on stepping stones to cross a pond and kick off those their shoes for a foot dip in the Secret Stream. Children can climb a spider web of ropes or hop across a bridge. Older kids will love getting “lost” in the hedge Maze Garden (there’s a toddler maze next to it for the shorter set). Also a must-see: the hidden gem of an exhibit called Treehouse Tales (walk toward the north pond and follow the signs into the wilderness to get to it). It’s a magical village of six whimsical tree house structures that you can climb into as you learn about the vital roles trees play in our lives.

Have a blast nature and LEGO fans!

What’s orange and creamy and absolutely dreamy? A Creamsicle, everyone’s fave childhood popsicle. You can make your own following our recipe below, but if you’re looking for something a little more grown-up try a Creamsicle cocktail. The below recipe doesn’t even require popsicle molds (Dixie cups will work just fine). Share your Creamsicle creations with #redtricycle and we’ll repost our favorites.

Ingredients:
1 cup orange juice (you can use fresh or frozen, but frozen concentrate will give you a stronger flavor)
1 cup heavy cream or full fat coconut milk
3 tablespoons honey or agave nectar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:
1. Whisk all ingredients together.

2. Pour the mixture into popsicle molds or Dixie cups. You’ll want to let the mixture set for 30-60 minutes and then add popsicle sticks. Freeze for another 4-6 hours.

Do you have any adaptions to this recipe? What is your favorite type of popsicle flavor?
