Nostalgia alert! The Rugrats are coming to Paramount+ and the new series features some very familiar voices.

Your fave toddlers from the ’90s and early 2000s are back. Paramount+ and Nickelodeon recently announced the upcoming release of a brand-new series—and it stars the OG voices plus a cast of famous faves.

The new series’ cast includes Ashley Rae Spillers (Vice Principals) and Tommy Dewey (The Mindy Project) as Tommy’s parents; Tony Hale (Arrested Development) as Chuckie’s father; Natalie Morales (Dead to Me) as Phil and Lil’s mother; Anna Chlumsky (Veep) and Timothy Simons (Veep), as Angelica’s parents; Nicole Byer (Nailed It!) and Omar Miller (Ballers) as Susie’s parents and Michael McKean (Better Call Saul) as Grandpa Lou Pickles.

Liz Paulson, Senior Vice President, Talent and Casting, Nickelodeon, said in a press release, “This incredibly talented group of actors provides a fresh and very funny take on these iconic roles, combining humor with heart to bring the characters to life in a whole new way.”

Ramsey Naito, President, Nickelodeon Animation, added, “The all-new Rugrats is packed with comedy, music and adventures that only babies can embark upon, and the role of the grown-ups is an essential piece of the series.”

Along with new cast members, original voice actors featured in the new Rugrats series include E.G. Daily (Tommy), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie), Cheryl Chase (Angelica), Cree Summer (Susie) and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil).

Look for the new Rugrats series in Paramount+ this spring!

SpongeBob SquarePants fans rejoice! The beloved Bikini Bottom star’s BFF is getting his own show. Nickelodeon recently announced the debut of an original animated spinoff—The Patrick Star Show.

Like the name implies, The Patrick Star Show will focus on SpongeBob’s sidekick Patrick (along with his family). The new sitcom is set to launch on Nickelodeon this summer.

Ramsey Naito, President, Nickelodeon Animation, said of the show in a press release, “Nickelodeon is diving deeper into Bikini Bottom to give fans a look at our lovable young adult Patrick Star and his entire family with a sitcom only he could imagine up.” Naito added, “This second original spinoff allows us to expand our reach, tell new stories and connect with our audience around the world who continue to love these characters.”

The new Nick spinoff features a younger version of Patrick, little sis Squidina, parents Bunny and Cecil and grandpa GrandPat. Voiced by Bill Fagerbakke (as Patrick), the animated series also stars the voices of Tom Wilson, Cree Summer, Jill Talley and Dana Snyder.

Even though you can’t catch this new series until next summer, you can watch the first-ever SpongeBob spinoff, Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, starting today on the Paramount+ streaming service.

Nostalgia alert! Tommy Pickles, Chuckie Finster, Susie Carmichael, Angelica Pickels, Phil and Lil are back in an all-new, but sort of the same, way.

Nickelodeon recently announced a new animated version of the Rugrats series. The fan fave from the ’90s is set to debut in 2021—with the original cast voicing the re-imagined hit.

The 2021 Rugrats production will star the voices of E.G. Daily (Tommy), Nancy Cartwright (Chuckie), Cheryl Chase (Angelica), Cree Summer (Susie), and Kath Soucie (Phil and Lil). Look for the CG-animated series this summer on the Paramount+ streaming service from ViacomCBS.

Monster High rose to popularity more than a decade ago in 2010. Now the show’s beloved characters are back per an announcement by Mattel and Nickelodeon.

Two new Monster High TV events, an all-new animated series and first-ever Monster High live-action television movie musical will debut in 2022. Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein, Draculaura, and more are coming to the Nick network (and all the company’s platforms) next year.

Of the upcoming television events, Fred Soulie, General Manager, Mattel Television, said in a press release, “Monster High’s strong message of inclusivity is more relevant than ever.” Soulie continued, “Nickelodeon shares our passion for the brand and its purpose having worked on the franchise when it first launched more than a decade ago. They are the ideal partners to bring these beloved characters and their stories to life through episodic television and the live-action television movie.”

Ramsey Naito, President of Nickelodeon Animation said, “These classic monsters have always captured kids’ imaginations and we are so excited and proud to welcome Monster High to our brand for a new generation of kids.” Naito added, “We have terrific partners on board at Mattel to create original content in different formats, and, with the expertise of the Nick creative team helmed by Claudia Spinelli on the animation development side, and Zack Olin and Shauna Phelan on the live-action side, we can’t wait to showcase the comedy and adventure of these characters as they defy expectations and take on the world.”

Nickelodeon did provide information on a release date—but you can expect both of the magical Monster High shows to air in 2022.

Written by Andrew McDonald and illustrated by Ben Wood, Real Pigeons Fight Crime reveals that they might just be keeping you safe. Nickelodeon has teamed up with James Corden and Ben Winston, and their production company Fulwell 73, to produce an animated movie and TV series based on the book.

The movie and TV series are being developed to air on all Nickelodeon platforms.

Baby Shark’s Big Show! will follow Baby Shark and his best friend WIliiam as they journey on fun-filled comedic adventures in their community of Carnivore Cove , meet new friends and sing original catchy tunes along the way.

Nickelodeon will debut Baby Shark’s Big Show! with an all-new original holiday special this December, with premieres rolling out across its preschool platforms in spring 2021.  Following the U.S. launch, the series will roll out on Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels internationally.

Baby Shark launched on YouTube in November 2015 and took the world by storm, amassing 5.7 billion views and becoming the second most-watched video in the platform’s history.  With music, characters, story and dance all combined together, the song recorded a 20-week-streak on the Billboard Hot 100 and spawned a viral phenomenon #BabySharkChallenge, generating over one million cover videos around the globe.

Can’t wait to get back to Bikini Bottom?  It was just announced that The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run will debut digitally in the US via premium video on demand in early 2021. Afterwards the move exclusively to CBS All Access, ViacomCBS’ subscription video on demand and live-streaming service.

“We are thrilled to have The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, a premier, first-run movie from one of ViacomCBS’ biggest brands, join CBS All Access’ expanding slate of franchise content from across ViacomCBS,” said Marc DeBevoise, Chief Digital Officer, ViacomCBS and President & Chief Executive Officer, ViacomCBS Digital. “This launch will be perfectly timed with our continued expansion and planned rebranding of the service in early 2021, as we welcome SpongeBob and the gang from Bikini Bottom to the service in the biggest way possible.”

In addition, all prior seasons of SpongeBob Squarepants will be available on the expanded service soon.

This new movie follows SpongeBob SquarePants, his best friend Patrick Star and the rest of the gang from Bikini Bottom in the first-ever all CGI SpongeBob motion picture event. After SpongeBob’s beloved pet snail Gary is snail-napped, he and Patrick embark on an epic adventure to The Lost City of Atlantic City to bring Gary home. As they navigate the delights and dangers on this perilous and hilarious rescue mission, SpongeBob and his pals prove there’s nothing stronger than the power of friendship.

The ear worm you wish you never heard is about to get stuck in your head all over again. The now-infamous “Baby Shark” song is going from a YouTube tune to the TV screen, and your kiddo is about to go wild!

Nickelodeon recently announced the addition of a new “Baby Shark” themed show to its already awesome lineup of programming for preschoolers. In a partnership with the company behind Pinkfong (the creators of “Baby Shark”), SmartStudy, Nick has plans to turn the song/video into a full-on animated series.

Pam Kaufman, President, Viacom Nickelodeon Consumer Products, said in a press release, “Baby Shark is a multiplatform phenomenon, and appetite for more content and products is strong around the world.” Kaufman also added, “Our outstanding creative teams are moving fast to get more Baby Shark product across multiple categories to retailers, and our content team is excited to develop a terrific original animated series that will bring this property to new heights and even more fans.”

So what can you expect from Nick’s new show? Ramsey Naito, Executive Vice President, Nickelodeon Animation, said, “At the heart of any popular piece of content is a terrific character, and we have a great opportunity to further explore the world of Baby Shark and follow this family through some great animated adventures on Nickelodeon.”

As of now, there’s no concrete info on when the show will air on Nickelodeon’s networks.

Nickelodeon gave fans a first look at character art for the new Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie during the 25 Years of Nickelodeon Animation panel at Comic-Con this week. The artwork includes our favorite characters: Arnold, as well as Helga, Gerald, Phoebe, Grandpa and Abner, Arnold’s spirited pet pig.


Even better: “Hey Arnold!: The Jungle Movie,” which will be a two-hour telepic and air in 2017, will finally answer the long-anticipated question: what the heck happened to Arnold’s parents?
