It’s hard to keep up with all of LEGO’s cool new releases, but this one is definitely a showstopper. The group just released a vintage typewriter that’s sure to be a conversation piece in your home. It was designed by a LEGO fan and it’s a fantastic gift for the expert builder or wordsmith in your life.

The typewriter has all the functionality you’d expect, with a center typebar that rises each time a letter key is pressed, a carriage that moves as you type and a roller to feed in real paper. It also comes with a letter signed by Thomas Kirk Kristiansen, the chairman of the LEGO Group and fourth-generation member of the family privately owning the business.

The fan who pitched the idea, Steve Guinness, said “I wanted to create something totally different from anything that LEGO has ever done before and showcase that you really can make anything out of LEGO. I bought a vintage typewriter for my research and then played around with bricks and the mechanism until I was happy with the design. I hope it will bring nostalgia to adult fans like me, and wonder and curiosity to younger fans who might not have ever seen a real typewriter!”

You’ll be able to snag this set starting June 16 if you have LEGO VIP Early Access for $199, or July 1 as a member of the general public. It clocks in at 2,079 pieces for adult builders to construct. Write on!

Get ready to giggle—in a ghastly, ghostly way! The Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer is here and it’s filled with some sinister sweetness, courtesy of mini marshmallow men.

The iconic over-sized Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is one of the most memorable characters from the 1984 original Ghostbusters. Now that the ghoul-gathering franchise is back, the geniuses behind Ghostbusters: Afterlife have turned the mega marshmallow man into a bag-full of minis.

In a recently released trailer for new flick features Paul Rudd and his new “friends.” As Rudd shops in your average grocery store aisle, he comes across an adorable teeny tiny marshmallow man. Rudd reaches out to touch the sweet little guy—just as the mini Stay Puft marshmallow bites his finger.

The clip continues to showcase the minis as they play in a devilishly delightful way. Afterwards, the puffy pals roast each other over and grill and one snuggles inside a s’more as his marshmallow mates toast the chocolate with a torch.

Even though you can catch the trailer right now on YouTube, you’ll have to wait for the theatrical debut. Ghostbusters: Afterlife’s big screen premiere is set for Nov. 21!

Monster High rose to popularity more than a decade ago in 2010. Now the show’s beloved characters are back per an announcement by Mattel and Nickelodeon.

Two new Monster High TV events, an all-new animated series and first-ever Monster High live-action television movie musical will debut in 2022. Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein, Draculaura, and more are coming to the Nick network (and all the company’s platforms) next year.

Of the upcoming television events, Fred Soulie, General Manager, Mattel Television, said in a press release, “Monster High’s strong message of inclusivity is more relevant than ever.” Soulie continued, “Nickelodeon shares our passion for the brand and its purpose having worked on the franchise when it first launched more than a decade ago. They are the ideal partners to bring these beloved characters and their stories to life through episodic television and the live-action television movie.”

Ramsey Naito, President of Nickelodeon Animation said, “These classic monsters have always captured kids’ imaginations and we are so excited and proud to welcome Monster High to our brand for a new generation of kids.” Naito added, “We have terrific partners on board at Mattel to create original content in different formats, and, with the expertise of the Nick creative team helmed by Claudia Spinelli on the animation development side, and Zack Olin and Shauna Phelan on the live-action side, we can’t wait to showcase the comedy and adventure of these characters as they defy expectations and take on the world.”

Nickelodeon did provide information on a release date—but you can expect both of the magical Monster High shows to air in 2022.
