Pink’s daughter, Willow Sage, is showing off her impressive pipes once again in a video from the first leg of her mom’s summer concert tour

We already know that Pink passed along her incredible singing skills to her daughter, Willow Sage. Willow has already stunned fans in a number of performances throughout her short life, and now there’s another to add to the list: the first concert of her mom’s summer tour, where she hopped onstage to sing their duet, “Cover Me in Sunshine.”

At just 12 years old, Willow already has a beautiful voice, and she also showed off her impressive confidence and poise as she grabbed the mic and performed for a huge stadium crowd. Luckily, proud dad Carey Hart was in the audience recording, so we all get to see this sweet moment.

“So proud of Willz to get up on stage w/ mama @pink !!!!!” he wrote in the caption. “Must be a surreal moment for mama to have w/ her lil girl on stage 😢. Looks like 1st show of the tour kicked ass!!!!!”

We couldn’t agree more. The video shows Willow on the jumbotron screen, belting out the song that she and her mom recorded together in 2021.

“We all know this year has been different and challenging and at times terrifying and tumultuous and angsty and all the things,” Pink said in an Instagram video about the song in February of 2021, when it debuted. “And I personally find comfort in music. I find comfort in song. I love singing with my daughter and my son.”

At the end of the video of her performance, you see Willow getting wrapped up in a hug from her mama. It’s clear that Pink is so proud of her mini-me—and with a voice like that, Willow could very well follow in her mom’s footsteps.

Always Free in Atlanta

Seek out street art. An art scavenger hunt is always a great way to get out with the kids and explore the city. Whether you’re looking for Tiny Door or the newest Lela Brunet masterpiece, bring your phone and strike a pose.

Walk on the BeltLine. This 22-mile loop gets better every year, with art installations to find and Atlanta’s tree canopy to enjoy. It’s as simple as hopping on at the nearest entry point and exploring as you go.

Give mountain biking a spin at a beginner course. A short drive from the heart of the city you’ll find multiple groomed mountain biking trails—most with beginner courses—for bikers who long to get off the beaten path.

Go skateboarding at a skatepark. Atlanta’s skateparks are spread out, which means accessing one is relatively easy, no matter where you live. The Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark is a local favorite, and the Brook Run Skate Park in Dunwoody, the largest skatepark in Atlanta, is surrounded by trees and close to trails for biking, walking, and running.

Spend a day in Piedmont Park. With paved paths perfect for biking, triking and boarding, plus a lake, fields and playgrounds, this Atlanta institution is a great place to spend a day.

Visit the Noah’s Arc Animal Sanctuary. Noah’s Ark is a 250-acre sanctuary for abused, unwanted and neglected animals in a park-like setting with paved pathways. Noah’s Ark is open Tuesday through Saturday. The Welcome Center, picnic area, and playground are open at 9 a.m. for visitors, and the animal habitat is open from 12-3 p.m.

Bike the Silver Comet Trail. Located 13 miles northwest of Atlanta, this 61.5-mile long path is free of charge and travels west through Cobb, Paulding and Polk counties. Expect a quiet, non-motorized, paved trail for walkers, hikers, bicyclists, rollerbladers, horses, dog walkers and strollers.

Explore Arabia Mountain. Once part of a quarry, Arabia Mountain is now protected as part of the Davidson-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve. This otherworldly rock outcrop is a monadnock, a geologic formation that has the seen the ground around it erode away, leaving the mountain we know and love today. Arabia Mountain also contains a variety of rare and endangered plants, such as Diamorpha, which grows in the fragile solution pit ecosystems that appear on the rock face. The Arabia Mountain PATH (AMP) is a 30+ mile recreational trail located just 20 minutes east of Atlanta. Walkers, cyclists and joggers share the multi-use trail. AWARE, or the Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort, has been operating at the base of Arabia Mountain since 2006. The nonprofit rescues sick or injured wild animals, rehabilitates them at their facility and returns them to the wild.

Check out the High Museum of Art on the second Sunday each month. That’s when The High offers free admission for all visitors from noon to 5 p.m. Right now you can enjoy the Oliver Jeffers exhibit before it heads elsewhere.

Check out Kennesaw Battlefield Park. Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is a 2,965 acre National Battlefield that preserves a Civil War battleground of the Atlanta Campaign. Opposing forces maneuvered and fought here from June 19, 1864 until July 2, 1864. Picnic and play in designated areas and then enjoy a hike on some of the over 22 miles of maintained interpretive trails.

Explore Historic Oakland Cemetery. Atlanta’s oldest public park and the final resting place of many of the city’s most noted citizens, Oakland is less than a mile from downtown on 48-acres. Explore history and gardens, sculpture and architecture, and play under the ancient oaks and magnolias.

Head to Zoo Atlanta with your library card. Gain free admission to the wonderful Zoo Atlanta through the Library Pass Program. If you have a library card, you can check out a family pass (for a family of four) at Georgia’s public libraries. The pass is available at participating branches in all 159 counties. It’s a great way to see Sean Kenney’s Nature POP! exhibit while you still can.

Pay a visit to the Marietta Fire Museum or the Roswell Fire Museum. Discover and learn the history of the firefighting through collections of antique fire apparatus, tools, and gear dating back to the 1800s. Learn how fire departments have changed over time through self-guided tours.

Stars, stripes and so much fun. Soak it all up this Fourth of July, when our country turns the big 2-4-6. The 4th falls on a Monday this year, which gives us a three-day weekend for fun-filled family days and legendary fireworks shows. We put our eyes to the skies in search of the most amazing fireworks displays and day-time events if you want to party all day and hit the hay early. Read on and plan on, Chicago.

Lakeside is the Best Side

Take a Family Boat Cruise
Many boat tour and kayak companies in Chicago host special 4th of July firework cruises on Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. These tours are a great way to get front-row seats to the action, with the Chicago skyline serving as a gorgeous backdrop.

Live at the Lake at Navy Pier
Make the 4th of July weekend all about live music and dancing the days away at Navy Pier's Live on the Lake, Jul. 2-4.

Keep it Traditional with Parades & Fireworks

Navy Pier Fireworks
Start the celebrating early with Navy Pier's weekly fireworks display, Jun. 2.

Naperville Salute
The Naperville Salute, Jul. 1-4, is all about celebrating veterans, active military, first responders and their families. Along with a musical lineup, family entertainment will include an exotic animal display, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon art, an obstacle course and fitness fun, crafts, a magic show and more.

Glen Ellyn Fourth of July
Everyone loves a parade — especially one as cheerful and colorful as the one in downtown Glen Ellyn, Jul. 4. The festivities will conclude with fireworks at dusk.

3D Fireworks Display in Skokie
The Skokie Fourth of July Fireworks, Jul. 4, is a 3-D extravaganza with the first 10,000 visitors receiving a free pair of 3D glasses. The day begins with a parade at noon followed by family activities, games and a concert. At dusk, break out those 3D glasses for a fireworks display that pops out at you.

St. Charles July 4th Celebration
When the sun goes down, the night sky will light up in a festival of color, lights and sound. Before the St. Charles fireworks show, Jul. 4, Feel Good Party Band will take the stage to keep you entertained with music from the 80s and 90s.

Itasca Fireworks
Itasca boasts the largest fireworks display in the Chicago area. The Itasca fireworks display, Jul. 4, is popular for families because the fireworks are so huge, they feel like they're going off right above you.

Northwest Fourth Fest
Kids and adults can have a blast on more than 30 carnival rides, listen to live music, fill up on fest food and watch one of the best fireworks displays in the area at Northwest Fourth Fest, Jun. 30-Jul. 4.

Evanston 4th Celebration
Evanston's 4th of July celebration, Jul. 4, starts with outdoor games (think three-legged races, pie-eating contests and water balloon tosses). Afterward, join in on a fun run before the parade kicks off. Then, the party moves to a lakefront concert followed by fireworks.

Celebrate with Music

Independence Day Salute
Prepare for a sensory feast featuring a medley of patriotic favorites at The Independence Day Salute, Jul, 2, at Jay Pritzker Pavilion.

Rock in the Park at Parkway Bank Park
Parkway Bank Park's Rockin' in the Park, Jul. 4, is a free summer concert that features a post-show musical fireworks display.

Make it a Sporty Weekend

Chicago Dogs Fireworks Extravaganza
Chicago's newest baseball team that pays homage to our favorite street food, HOT DOGS, is hosting a Chicago Dogs fireworks extravaganza, Jul. 2, after their home game.

Relax & Catch a Movie

Outdoor Movie with Rooftop Cinema Club
Rooftop Cinema Club at the Emily Hotel in Fulton Market is hosting two daytime family friendly movies during the Fourth of July weekend. See The Parent Trap, Jul. 2 and The Sandlot, Jul. 3.

Keep the Food Patriotic

Cupcake Making at Taste Buds Kitchen
Show your USA pride and whip up perfectly patriotic Red, White and Blue Cupcakes, Jul. 2, completely from scratch. Plain old vanilla? Bore-ring. Bring on the pizzazz, the color, the fireworks.

JoJo's Shake Bar 4th of July Shake
JoJo's 4th of July Shake, Jun. 27-Jul. 4, is a strawberry-blueberry shake topped with red, a white and blue sprinkled sugar cookie, cupcake and ice cream sandwich.

Red, White & Blue Recipes to Make This 4th of July

Editor’s note: Please remember to recreate responsibly by wearing masks, socially distancing and following group size guidelines as recommended by local and state authorities. Stay healthy, have fun!

Hot summer days call for seaside activities. Families will find plenty at Point Ruston, especially if you’re looking for a waterfront walk that boasts gorgeous views and offers plenty of space to picnic and play, alongside paved paths that were made for strollers and bikes and family eateries. It’s Tacoma’s coolest waterfront, resort-inspired village that is now also home to a brand-new 40-acre park. Scroll down to learn more!

1. Marvel at the View

Point Ruston

There’s no denying Point Ruston has one of the best views in town, spanning Commencement Bay from the Olympics to Mt. Rainier, peeking up over downtown Tacoma. You can take it all in, unobstructed, along the Point Ruston walkway, a paved path that runs for miles in either direction without interruption. It’s the perfect spot to bike, jog, walk, scoot, blade or board. Pack your wheels or walking shoes or rent a sweet ride from Wheel Fun, located by the waterfront, and take in the view!

2. Get Connected

Allison Sutcliffe

You'll definitely want to check out the recently-opened Dune Peninsula and the Wilson Way Bridge. This new 40-acre park connects Point Ruston to Point Defiance Park, so you can now ride, walk, jog or roll for miles between the two points. Beyond taking in the views from the bridge, you can also picnic here, play on the beach and ride the slides. That’s right! There are six consecutive slides that take riders from the bridge down to the parking lot in no time flat. Ride them again and again to keep the little ones entertained on your outing.

3. Cool Off at the Splash Pad

Point Ruston

Editor's note: The Children's Spray Park on the Grand Plaza is closed due to Covid restrictions.

There’s no better way to cool down on a hot summer day than splashing in the water feature at Point Ruston. Designed to mimic salmon swimming upstream, this mechanized fountain features leaping water that begs kids to chase it as it moves from point A to point Z. Add in plenty of seating for parents and a breathtaking view, and you’ve got a relaxing spot to soak up the sun while the kiddos get soaked. Psst! Stay 'til it’s dark to check out the water feature with laser lights. It’s an otherworldly experience your kids will love!

4. Play on the Playground

Point Ruston

It makes sense that the Point Ruston play structure is shaped like a ferry, since visitors can watch the Washington state ferries make frequent crossing from Point Defiance to Vashon Island from this vantage point. There’s plenty of places to climb, slide and swing for kids ages two and up. Plan to take a break here during your day.

5. Enjoy a Summer Concert

Point Ruston

Editor's note: The Summer Concert Series is canceled for 2020.

Starting in July, you can add live music to your Point Ruston experience. On Saturdays from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., free all-ages shows take place right on the water. The steps down to the mural double as amphitheater seating, but if you want to be extra comfy, bring a stadium chair to use. Then, plan on a full lineup of rock, hip-hop, blues and country this summer.

6. Shop the Farmers Market

Point Ruston

Get all things fresh at the Point Ruston Farmers Market on Sundays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Peruse the vendor tents to find the best in fresh, local goods served up from now through September. See the full events calendar here.

7. Cast a Line

Jerimy E. via Yelp

Pack your fishing license and your pole, so you can try to catch tonight’s dinner to top off your day at Point Ruston. Les Davis Pier is just a short walk down from the Grand Plaza, and you’ll find plenty of spots to drop a line along the pier. Psst! With an artificial reef down below, your chances of making a catch are pretty good.

8. Grab a Bite to Eat

Kat J. via Yelp

Because you know at some point someone in your crew will get hungry, you can find plenty to eat at Point Ruston. We’re fans of Farrelli’s Pizza, and not just because of the view. It’s a spot where kids can not only DIY their own pizza at the table, but pass time in the small arcade in the back of the restaurant. WildFin is another seaside option with upscale fare that works best with older kiddos. If casual and outdoor is more your vibe, check out What a Catch Fish Bar for newspaper-wrapped fish and chips that are easy to eat while the kids play in the splash pad. And you can't go wrong at Kobrew which offers a fantastic Korean dining adventure or sushi from Mio Sushi. Since Point Ruston offers a little something for everyone, you can stay and play all day!

9. Indulge in a Sweet Treat

Jessica Y. via Yelp

Cool off on a hot day with Ice Cream Social, Tacoma’s locally sourced, small batch ice cream haven. They’ve got flavors that will keep you guessing, and vegan and dairy free options that will fool even the most trained taste buds. Fair warning: on a hot summer day, expect a line out the door no matter what the hour!

10. Catch a Flick

Mad M. via Yelp

Editor's note: The Century Point Ruston and XD Theater is currently closed due to Covid safety measures.

It’s always good to have an indoor option on a hot summer day because rain happens, and so does air conditioning. At Point Ruston, you’re in luck. The Century Point Ruston and XD Theater plays all the hits, and it’s right around the corner from the waterfront. Your kids will love the luxe reclining seats and you can enjoy a glass or wine or beer while you’re there. A great way to beat the heat!

Good to Know: Parking at Point Ruston is essentially free; as long as you eat, shop or otherwise make a purchase, merchants will validate for two hours. If you take in a movie too, the Cinema will validate for up to five hours. Simply enter your license plate number at a Point Ruston business and you’re set. Get all the parking details here.
