Summer is about to end with a blast: Lightyear is headed to Disney+ in August! The film, which opened in theaters on Jun. 17, is basically the origin story for the beloved toy featured in the Toy Story movies.

Lightyear is a sci-fi action adventure following our main character (voiced by Chris Evans) as he becomes stuck on a planet 4.2 million light-years from Earth. With his commander and crew, Buzz finds a group of recruits and the world’s cutes robot cat, Sox to help him find his way home. And let’s not forget Zurg, the evil villain up to no good and his army of robots!

Other notable voices you’ll hear include Uzo Aduba as best friend Alisha Hawthorne, Peter Sohn as Sox, Keke Palmer, Taika Waititi and Dale Soules as the Junior Zap Patrol’s Izzy Hawthorne, Mo Morrison and Darby Steel and James Brolin as Zurg.

While Lightyear wasn’t a huge box-office hit, the film is poised to capture a wider audience once it hits Disney+. The quick move from theaters has made ample success for other films, like Encanto and Marvel’s film, Eternals. “[B]y now we know that theatrical performance doesn’t solely determine a film’s success or failure,” says Indie Wire.

Lightyear looks amazing on the big screen, of course, but we are so excited to bring it to Disney+,” said Angus MacLane, director. “We devoted years of our lives to this film and we are so proud of it. We want to share it with as many people as possible. Disney+ not only gives more fans an opportunity to see ‘Lightyear,’ it gives us all the means to see it again and again.”

Disney and Pixar’s Lightyear will hit Disney+ on Aug. 3, 2022.

Some people tune in for the big game while others are more interested in the commercials. Last week Doritos first teased their Super Bowl ad starring Jimmy Kimmel and Mindy Kaling. Today, they released a second teaser revealing that Flat Matthew is in fact Matthew McConaughey.

We haven’t seen what Flat Matthew actually looks like but we do hear McConaughey’s voice.

In last week’s teaser, Kimmel introduces his mysterious talk show guest to a shocked Mindy Kaling. “Did you see him backstage? He’s got a whole new look. Like a look that no one’s ever had before,” says Kimmel to Kaling referring to the mystery star.

Doritos has been a Super Bowl fixture for more than two decades, this year the brand is bringing a whole new dimension to gameday with the highly anticipated return of Doritos 3D Crunch.

Now we can only guess how McConaughey will get back to his original shape. No doubt it will involve a bag of Doritos 3D Crunch.

We don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to see how this unfolds.

Last week, Cheetos fans saw Ashton Kutcher discover some mysterious evidence tied to the disappearance of his Cheetos Crunch Pop Mix as a part of its Super Bowl LV campaign. Now  the brand is shaking more clues with the reveal of a second teaser ahead of the Super Bowl commercial, featuring Mila Kunis and Shaggy.

In one of the only times working together since That 70’s Show, Kutcher and Kunis have teamed up with Cheetos to star in the brand’s Super Bowl commercial. In the second teaser ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, Kunis delivers a passionate monologue hinting that she was accused of something horrible. The camera cuts to Shaggy and you realize he’s giving her pointers. While not impressed with her take, he offers the insight to “just stick to the line I gave you” as the commercial fades out to the melody of his iconic song, “It Wasn’t Me.” The song celebrates its 20th anniversary this February.

If you weren’t dreaming about the day you could head back to Bayside High, one look at the new teaser trailer for the rebooted Saved by the Bell will change your mind.

Set to the tune “I’m So Excited,” we are anything but so, so scared as we get a peek into the glossier version of the 80’s and 90’s hit teen show. So far, the show is welcoming back Bayside alumni, Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater, plus plenty of fresh faces.

A Peacock exclusive, Saved By the Bell will follow along as Governor Zach Morris (right!?) launches a program that sends low-income high schoolers to the wealthy Pacific Palisades Bayside High. While filmed in a very different way than the original, which was produced in front of a live audience, the show appears to handle relevant social topics as it did back in the 90’s with a whole lot of comedy.

The new Saved By the Bell is only available on Peacock and starts streaming Aug. 15.
