A recent episode of the Australian Honey Mums podcast shares one mom’s parenting hack that has us applauding. An Aussie mom of three young children named Suzanna shared her solution for dealing with the stress and frustration of parenting—and it’s so simple, it’s downright brilliant.

Like many parents, Suzanna uses a sticker chart to highlight her children’s good choices and behavior. To help her stay on track, the mom decided to add her own name to the family chart—so her kids can keep her accountable for patience and exhibiting good behavior, too!

The mom tells Honey Mums that her kids “tell me when I’ve earned the star, which has thankfully been every day and I’m proud to say, I’ve earned my stars over two weeks, so I’m able to go and treat myself to a massage.” OMG. She’s even built in rewards for herself, too.

The hack not only works to keep mom on track, but it empowers her children to identify positive behavior as well. So simple, and so effective. We love it!
