Earn Serious Raptor Knowledge – Boise, Id

A living museum of sorts! Founded in 1970 when the Peregrine Falcon was an endangered species (it was successfully removed from the list just shy of 30 years later), the Peregrine Fund today aids 100+ species around the world, conducts research, and aims to conserve habitat for these rare birds (Their current focus is the California Condor.). At their World Center for Birds of Prey you can get up close to eagles, owls, hawks, and the like thanks to live raptor presentations and restored habitats. A Discovery Room was designed for young visitors to interact with eggs, feathers, costumes, and more.
