For Serious Self Defense: Krav Maga

Building stronger minds and bodies is fantastic, but if you’re more interested in keeping your kids safe, you might want to try Krav Maga, the self-defense discipline developed by the Israeli military. The teachings of Krav Maga are about more practical, real-life scenarios like bullying and self-defense.

The Krav Maga Institute has a “Bully-proof” class for children between six and 12 years of age. Of course, the classes don’t just teach kids to hit back. Instead, the kid’s course aims to teach children how to avoid or prevent dangerous situations, stand up for themselves in case a confrontation can’t be avoided, and fight back confidently in case of danger or physical threat of any kind.

For a smaller, more personal experience you can turn to the Krav Maga Experts youth classes. While this location offers group classes, you can also sign up your little one for private sessions at 4 years old and up. While the Experts here will teach physical fitness and hone a child’s instincts, they will also develop a child’s mental abilities and self-perception. Kids are given problems to solve, alone or in groups, which build communication skills and ensure your child is ready for any situation, crisis or not.
