One of the best things about being a parent in NYC is the dizzying number of options of all things kid-related. This is never more true than when it comes to “Mommy & Me” classes. Even if the idea of sitting around in a circle and singing with other parents and kids makes you cringe (you’re not alone, by the way), there is a class out there you will actually enjoy. (Your kid?: They’ll love it.) We’ve rounded up more than a dozen classes to take with your tot, from tummy time to sign language to all kinds of music to get you and the kid movin’ and groovin’. (Daddies are of course welcome, too.) Click on through to find your perfect match!

For cusic, crafts, play and more: Kids Fun House

At Kids Fun House, Mommy&Me classes are held once a week, and are organized by age group. Classes consist of a variety of activities: arts and crafts, basic learning (letters, colors, numbers), singing, storytelling, dancing and improvised movement. After the class children can stay and play with their little friends on the playgrounds as long as they want, so some families make a day out of it! At the end of the semester, there’s a graduation party with diplomas, pizza and pictures, for all babies and kids in Mommy&Me.

Be in the Know: Kids Fun House is a 6,000 square foot indoor play space with tall slides, arcade games, mazes, tunnels, a gated toddler area and more. Open play available.

Ages: Toddler to 4 years

Location: 6273 Fresh Pond Road, Ridgewood, Queens
Cost: $270 for 15 classes (sign up before September 15th and pay only $240); siblings are 50% off, classes resume in September.
