One of the best things about being a parent in NYC is the dizzying number of options of all things kid-related. This is never more true than when it comes to “Mommy & Me” classes. Even if the idea of sitting around in a circle and singing with other parents and kids makes you cringe (you’re not alone, by the way), there is a class out there you will actually enjoy. (Your kid?: They’ll love it.) We’ve rounded up more than a dozen classes to take with your tot, from tummy time to sign language to all kinds of music to get you and the kid movin’ and groovin’. (Daddies are of course welcome, too.) Click on through to find your perfect match!

For a Free Newborn Class Trial: Elliot’s Classes

Elliott's Classes offers classes for children as early as newborns. The staff knows it can be tough for parents to schedule classes, to socialize, get together, or even just get out of the house when they have a new baby (or babies), so they happily hold a Free Infant Class! This way, parents don't have to worry about paying for or committing to a class. For children newborn to 6 months, this free introductory class introduces babies to new stimuli including sounds and movements through the usage of music, bells, hoops and vivid colors. This class is instrumental in helping grown-ups develop a sense of community and gain early insight into the development and needs of their babies.

Be in the Know: Other Mommy&Me classes include Start Our Small, Tots-A-Lot, Super Tots and more. Also, tell your Westchester buds there’s also a New Rochelle location.
