From the well-known breeder hot spot of Park Slope to the hipster hood of Williamsburg that more and more babies (clad in skinny jeans of course) are calling home, Brooklyn boasts some of NYC’s finest family neighborhoods. Read on to discover the borough’s coolest parks, stores, restaurants, play spaces and attractions that’ll make taking your brood on the subway well worth it.

Prospect Heights

With the bustle of the Barclay's Center on the neighborhood's southern edge, this family spot isn't as quiet as it used to be. That being said, it still boasts plenty of family attractions -- Brooklyn Central Library and Brooklyn Botanic Gardens to name a couple. Plus, Underhill Playground is a bit of a legend for local kiddos. Don't leave without stopping by Dean Street Cafe or Ample Hills Creamery for something good to eat.
