Have a fashionista on your hands? Let them design their very own jeans! Your little ones can distress, paint, bead, rip, or embroider, whatever “look” they’re going for. The program starts off with a lively reading of Levi Strauss Gets a Bright Idea to get the scoop on the history of jeans. Then get inspired by the fashions of the 1960s and ’70s while exploring the exhibition Counter-Couture: Handmade Fashion in an American Counterculture before getting to work to create a one of kind denim everyone will be asking where you bought. MAD will have a limited supply of denim and recommends you BYO denim to work with.
